I am beyond frustrated with honda quality control.

1) alignment issues - Steers left but the dealership's system says its perfect
2) something under my passenger seat rattles when i go on uneven roads (dealer cant fix it since i have aftermarket wheels)
3) This damn no key error... ive attached a pic...

Dealer kept the car for 3 days...says it could not replicate the problem. I took a video that i am giving u guys a screenshot of.. and they still cant detect the problem. I got No key error with the key inside my car while i was headed home from work one night. It stayed on the whole time till i got home and turned car off and i turned it back on it was not there anymore...

I get the same error randomly when im dropping someone off (co workers) and my gear is still on "drive" and they open the passenger door to get out...it beeps along with the error...

I paid what honda asked for on this car..doesnt mean i have to **** up this crap and "live" with it....

The dealer gave the car back to me saying they have never seen a problem like this..even after they called honda tech's and got their opinion aswell (so im the only one in all of United States who has this "no key" issue...

Ive contacted Honda of America myself and they have recommended to try 2nd key instead and see if the problem replicates or goto a different dealer..

Im just getting pretty tired of this crap.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't have a 9th gen, but from the picture it looks like your headlight and fog lights are on. And you're doing about 50 without a seatbelt. I don't see any key missing light.
Edit: I see the "no key" sign now

I have a 2013 EX-L V6 Coupe (no navi). Got my radio updated two days ago from the Aug 31 (I think it was aug 31) TSB. Ever since that, I noticed I've been having weird key issues.

Sometimes when I press the lock button on the exterior handle it just won't respond and I have to press it multiple times.

However, this morning I started getting the same exact "no key" issue as well. This is definitely annoying. Have they figured this out for you at all? I've never had this issue until after my radio update, and I don't know if the radio system has anything to do with it.

Tell American Honda that you'll file a lemon with your attorney if they don't get this fix for you!

You have provided enough evidences with video clips, so the problem is spotty. Even if the local dealer tech can't replicate this, doesn't mean the problem is not there. If this is beyond local tech, then Honda needs to get this handle because it's not functioning correctly while other car are.

I am tired of the local dealer techs as well and unfortunately for me, there are only 2 dealerships close to where I live. For example, I went in for a trunk latch replacement and they forgot to put the those plastic clips back to hold up the trunk cover thingy, seriously there's no such thing as double check???? I think those dealer techs doesn't really do their due diligence to get the issue fix, but more like get it in and out w/o checking!

If I don't check it there and then, I would be wasting another trip to bring the car back to dealership.

lemon law is 3 attempts at a fix, and a could not duplicate does not count. you can have 50 issues with your car and still not have a lemon, because each and every one can be fixed if duplicated.

as far as no key goes - there is a service bulletin for a defective smart key control unit that typically manifests itself as a no start problem.

as far as the op being upset they're car has problems: get over it. it's a first year full model change. expect it, and many more problems to happen. for instance - go look at your taillights and the gap between them and the body - you'll probably find there is hardly any gap at some spots and may even see the paint chipped off. oh well. bring it in!

as far as Honda is concerned - we can't fix your car if it doesn't act up on us. what if your gauge is faulty and not the smart key control unit? what if your key is acting up? how about if there is a communication fault? can't duplicate it - can't diagnose it. there's no magic wand to fix it - it is what it is. you'll have to wait for it to have a hard failure and leave you stranded or happen to have it happen for the tech.

as for alignment: my car also drifts a bit, but it's a road crown issue. the same road on the left lane, although it 'appears' level treats my car differently than the right lane. oh well. type of tires will affect it - typically the wider the tread the better the car will drive, but wider tread leads to reduced fuel economy too...

is your rattle interior or exterior?
either way, the dealer should fix it unless they are sure it's your wheels. find another dealer - every dealer is different.

as for Honda quality control - again, it's first year full model change. expect it. want to know more common failures so far? you'll probably cry but be sure it's much better than a GM.

I'd test the key battery or use your other key for a while to see if the problem goes away. You might want to try keeping the key in your right pocket so it's closer to the start button. When the key fob in my BMW got low, it gave me a missing key message with the key in my left pocket. I replaced the battery and all was fine again.

How long did the Beemer fob's battery last? Honda gives two years as an estimate.

So its been over a week and i've used the second key and i havent had any no key errors yet. So it could be that my first key is faulty... even though when i got the car back from the dealer the paperwork says they tested both keys and they work as they are supposed to...

Im guessing it could be something as small as battery being low on key 1 or the module itself is faulty... im testing key 2 a bit longer before i give the dealership a call.. this time a different one for sure..

First of all fack your dealer. There will be a DTC stored in the cars memory. I took my car in for this very same issue. There is even a TSB on it. My module came in Friday and I will be dropping my car off Monday.

I too have this problem with my Accord. Its showing up since 16,000 kms.
the Tech are not able to find it out yet.

the answer was same as you got . "CANT FIND ANY PROBLEM"

Iam planning to go legally to get a new car replaced.

I noticed your key fob was next to some other fob looking device. Have you tried using the fob by itself? Detached from the key? If not, try that and see what happens. Maybe there is some kind of interference with that other device causing the system to not keep in contact with your fob.
