I am beyond frustrated with honda quality control.

1) alignment issues - Steers left but the dealership's system says its perfect
2) something under my passenger seat rattles when i go on uneven roads (dealer cant fix it since i have aftermarket wheels)
3) This damn no key error... ive attached a pic...

Dealer kept the car for 3 days...says it could not replicate the problem. I took a video that i am giving u guys a screenshot of.. and they still cant detect the problem. I got No key error with the key inside my car while i was headed home from work one night. It stayed on the whole time till i got home and turned car off and i turned it back on it was not there anymore...

I get the same error randomly when im dropping someone off (co workers) and my gear is still on "drive" and they open the passenger door to get out...it beeps along with the error...

I paid what honda asked for on this car..doesnt mean i have to **** up this crap and "live" with it....

The dealer gave the car back to me saying they have never seen a problem like this..even after they called honda tech's and got their opinion aswell (so im the only one in all of United States who has this "no key" issue...

Ive contacted Honda of America myself and they have recommended to try 2nd key instead and see if the problem replicates or goto a different dealer..

Im just getting pretty tired of this crap.

The fob and the programming for the car costs the dealer nothing.

So heres what you do, go in and ask for the GENERAL manager, NOT the service manager, not the sales guy, not the cute girl behind the counter with the nice rack(although that doesnt sound so bad). THey may tell you that he is busy, but insist on it and wait if you have too (maybe eat a while bunch of their cookies while you wait)

Talk calm and do not yell. Explain the situation and that you bought your car from him and would like to recommend your friends to the dealership but are having reservations due to the unprofessional manner you are being dealt with. Explain that you believe a new fob MAY fix the issue and would like a replacement to see if the problem goes away.
At that point SAY NOTHING. I repeat SAY NOTHING. Let him or her break the awkward silence. This is VERY important and will work wonders.

I can all but guarantee you that this will work. It will at least get you a new fob which is more than likely the source of your frustration.

Good luck, keep us posted.

edit: Just read that you tried with second key, well it cant hurt to try a new one anyway.

Also if this dealership sucks, just go to one that will work with you. Dealerships HATE warranty work because they only get paid once. When your car is out of warranty, the dealership charges the customer AND Honda so they double dip. Dont let them push you around.

From time to time I get "NO KEY" message blinking on the dashboard.
I replaced the battery in the remote control, but this is still happening and goes away, then comes back again.
Any ideas?

Just starting down the "no-start road." I had the oil changed this morning (on time, not overdue) and then when we drove it after lunch, it would not start. Called roadside assistance. While we were waiting, we YouTubed it and holding the key right up to the START button worked. Cancelled roadside assistance. Next trip of the day (to the grocery store....), the car is giving the NO KEY error, even when I am inside with the key in my pocket.
Of course, I am worried about having a trunk full of groceries and the car not starting, so I try again in the grocery store parking lot. As long as the key is up close to the start button, NO PROBLEM.
HOWEVER, the key fob is not recognized to OPEN the door when I get out of the grocery store. So, I use the "real" key and get in, hold the fob close to the start button and get home before my ice cream melts. So, what is going on and how much is it going to cost me?
P.S. I also switched fobs, replaced both fob batteries and got the same results.

I too have this intermittent issue. Fortunately it hasn't caused the car not to function. I did change batteries and tried 2nd FOB, issue persists. This issue presents itself 10-15 sec. after the car is started and with the FOB closest it can be to the start button.

I read somewhere that it could be related to car battery and or terminal connections, grounding wires.

I put in a gas pedal sensitivity actuator but I can't remember if this started just before or just after. Will have to test it out without the modification. All tests have been done without the presence of other electronic devices with the exception of the pedal MOD.

Will keep y'all updated & appreciate the same.
