The fob and the programming for the car costs the dealer nothing.
So heres what you do, go in and ask for the GENERAL manager, NOT the service manager, not the sales guy, not the cute girl behind the counter with the nice rack(although that doesnt sound so bad). THey may tell you that he is busy, but insist on it and wait if you have too (maybe eat a while bunch of their cookies while you wait)
Talk calm and do not yell. Explain the situation and that you bought your car from him and would like to recommend your friends to the dealership but are having reservations due to the unprofessional manner you are being dealt with. Explain that you believe a new fob MAY fix the issue and would like a replacement to see if the problem goes away.
At that point SAY NOTHING. I repeat SAY NOTHING. Let him or her break the awkward silence. This is VERY important and will work wonders.
I can all but guarantee you that this will work. It will at least get you a new fob which is more than likely the source of your frustration.
Good luck, keep us posted.
edit: Just read that you tried with second key, well it cant hurt to try a new one anyway.
Also if this dealership sucks, just go to one that will work with you. Dealerships HATE warranty work because they only get paid once. When your car is out of warranty, the dealership charges the customer AND Honda so they double dip. Dont let them push you around.
