98 Accord 4 cyl, automatic: I am experiencing a throttle stumble / hesitation at idle as you start to move. I have, also, experienced this hesitation/stumble in the shift to the next gear after starting. It has, also, ocurred at highway interstate speeds (on cruise control) as the car downshifts to go up an incline- a hesitation, then downshifts and accelerates on. It does not do this all of the time and this started just recently. It seems like you can sometimes over-ride this by feathering the throttle.

I have searched for other threads and found nothing specific. Things associated include EGR system, MAP, TPS, IACV, primary O2 sensor. I have taken the throttle body off for cleaning (removed MAP) with no improvement.

bad gas? clogged injectors? maybe bad injectors dumping too much fuel and messing up the spark...it sounds tune up related. Injectors or plugs/plug wires. have u checked either of those? if it works by feathering the throttle id would assume its fuel related...
