So I have a 2005 accord coupe with the k24a4. I was racing in 3rd at 6k rpm and went to 2nd for only a brief moment. Since then I have Been getting a loud almost banging noise coming from the transmission. I bought a new stage 2 clutch kit because I'm building this car to roughly 420-430hp and wanted something to handle that power I did get an oem throwout. I just don't want to replace the clutch right now if it's the input shaft bearing. Any help would be appreciated. I'm totally new to Hondas and absolutely love my 7th gen Accord

When does the noise occur? Does it change when the clutch is pushed in, as in only occurs then? If so, it might be one of those bearings, but I don’t see how the pilot (input shaft) bearing could make a banging noise. I suspect you fouled up something internal to the tranny. Maybe change the fluid and see what’s stuck to the magnetic plug.
