New to the brand and new to the beast so wondered, in a nutshell, whether today's tire fav's just as applicable to earlier models? It's a sunshine state car so no snow worries but a helluva lot of rain. Is the Cont'l Super contact the way to go in a 185x70x14?
Any help is greatly appreciated for what will continue to remain a bone stock d/d... TKU

I just put a set of General Altimax RT43 tires on my 1989 Honda Prelude's stock 14" wheels. They ride very nice and were very reasonable in price.

Will add that tip as owner feedback so important when new to a brand.
What's on this "rescue" is too embarrassing to mention age wise so need to step to it pdq. Have you heard anything positive about the Cooper Evolution? Discount Tire quoted me $235 for all four corners, stock size, delivered with a heavy emphasis on the superb wet weather handling...Thanks for the input...

BTW Consumer Report sizzled on your recommendation as well...
