I have been testing the performance of the car when in "ECO" mode and so far I can't really tell that much of a difference.
I have a 4cyl sport CVT.

So, Do you drive with the leaf on or off? What are your thoughts?

Where is your other green bar?

Last tank I drove with it on and now I am driving with it off. Don't think it will make a big difference. Plus, haven't made any highway miles so far compared to last tank.

I was looking at the picture and notice the same but I think it is just the angle that makes it look as if it was missing.

I too have a sport and I just drove it this weekend same distance in both directions to compare mpg I got 35 without eco and about 40-42 with eco all going 60-65mph on hwy. Surface streets I have not compared yet. Hope that helps.

Is CA for your location Canada or Calif?
Did you compute mph on each direction of your trip?
If so, could wind and or elevation change affect your mpg?

i drove 60-65 both ways. I am in California. I did drive up on incline passing Pomona, CA on the 10 fwy. Wind, I noticed no high winds in the drive, I'd assume same both ways. Drove during the day 1-4pm

the incline I would say does affect mpg based on the indicator by the speedometer and on other days i've noticed with the eco on I can get 40mph at least if anything.

Thanks, sorry for my typo, i met mpg, not mph. Sounds like you computed the mpg for each direction.

Very preliminary results. Each morning, I check the MPG computer. Every other day, Econ.

28.875 Econ
27.866 D

BTW, I'm looking at the accuracy of the onboard computer. I've only logged one fill up and the Honda computer is over-stating MPG by 2.9%, which is not nearly as bad as other cars I heard of.

Four tanks in: 27.04 MPG.

I've tried it a few times, but the V6 feels sluggish with it on.

i have a sport CVT, and i just drove to work from temecula to san diego (~70 miles). averaged about 75mph, no wind, TONS of elevation changes (15 fwy).

econ ON: 39mpg

i tried econ + cruise control the other day. 38mpg? (set to 75mph)

other days when i forget or just want to flat out haul bawls home: about 32mpg.
granted, going home is more up-hill than down (temecula elevation vs. san diego "sea level")

overall, im very pleased with the capability of the CVT accord sport. this coming from a guy who previously owned a 2012 civic HF with estimated 41mpg highway. (i usually got 38-39 in that with econ but the power was so lacking with the little 1.8 liter that i had to turn it off just to get up those hills)
