Good evening everyone,

I just wanted to thank everyone on this forum for all the wonderful advice and education that has been provided. This Tuesday, I will be trading in my 2009 Honda Accord for a 2010 Dodge Challenger.

The Challenger is my dream car and I was supposed to get one before the Honda, but it didn't materialize at that time. I know...it's a totally different car, but I got an awesome deal, so I'm not complaining....

Speak to you soon! :)

Thanks...:)

I will definitely post pics when I get it (next Tuesday). If anybody is interested, the deal was as follows:

Price of Car: $36880 (Invoice)

Trade-In: $19000 (This was only $100 less than the value in their book. Also, there was a large dent in the driver's side door).

What I Owed to Honda: $20653

OTD: $40180

In addition, I received $2000 to purchase Mopar accessories. This list included such items as a CAI, strut tower bar, door sills, etc.

Hopefully before you purchased the Mopar you found their "Mopar Forum" to read if the car should be your dream car or not? Good place to find the real impressions from real owners. I would hate to spend that much on a car only to learn first hand it is junk.

While I didn't read anything on the Mopar forum, there are plenty of forums with real owners who love their vehicles. In addition, I am sure there are problems with the car as there are problems with every car (the Accord included).

I do respect your opinion, but the only person that has to be happy is me. If the car is my dream car and I want to spend the money on the car, it is my right.

Lastly, I do not think the Challenger is junk but again, that is your opinion and I respect it. I appreciate your input.

Details! Color, trim, toys, engine . . . pics?

Enjoy. Keep us posted on your impressions.

Gonna be a long weekend huh? Are they bringing the car in from another dealer?

What kind of engine/tranny is that beast packing?

Gonna tint the windows/clear bra?

Yea...its going to be a long weekend. The car is at the dealership. I just decided to pick it up next week.

The engine is a 5.7L HEMI with a five speed automatic transmission. The windows are going to be dealer tinted but I did not get the clear bra.

You are patient, I don't know that I could wait that long.

I had to wait a day to get my insurance check and it killed me

Challenger is junk to me unless you get the SRT8.

They did good on the exterior, but this interior looks just like all their other models, crap.

I think you could've got something much more nice for 36k, but hope you enjoy it.

Hope you have luck with it. As a long time mopar owner in the past I just cant see a future with them right now and the quality of there cars are a real issue with me and most of the reports I read..

You said it all man!!! Interior looks really cheap and I would never get a dodge unless is a SRT8. Also make sure you keep the car forever because as soon as you put about 15k miles that same car will be worth half the price.
Goodluck with it tho, and like others said please post pics

as a longtime Honda owner (I'm on Honda number 18) now I would never buy a dodge. That said, danielc409, what a Jack ass comment. Seriously the guy seems happy so why try to take him down (frankly, not that it seems he would be). But hey, this needed to be said. Accords ain't all that either. I'll happily take strike 1 for this...idoicy needs a response.

Where am I trying to take him down? Nothing is even directed to him .. it's all towards the car.

Might want to check your spelling before you try to call me an idiot.

YOu can;t "take anyone down" who buys their dream car anymore than any one can take your choice down...... He is a big boy and knows what he wants...As for me I will get an Infiniti G37 at some point.........When the 08s are prices in the low 2's I will be looking for a creme puff in a retirement community.
