Accord Owners-

Is there a Honda torque spec when tightening the drain plug (with crush washer) on the CVT transmission on the 13, 14, 15 Accords or is hand tightening adequate?

36 ft-lbs off the top of my head. Oil drain bolt is 29 ft-lbs.

You are correct about 36 ft-ibs...I just found it. I wonder how many people actually torque to spec. I am willing to bet most hand tighten with the crush washer and call it a day.

I will probably just hand tighten it like when I changed the oil. I really doubt the dealership torques drain plugs when they service either. However, there is the benefit of being right on with a torque wrench.

As long as the drain hole on the CVT is threaded with steel like the actual steel drain plug everything should be ok with hand tightening. I doubt the drain hole is aluminum threaded. Can someone verify?
