2011 Accord V6, 29,350 miles.

My Honda dealer said it's time for a transmission oil change. The book says change it when the B3 code comes on. I drive in a non-dusty area. When can I expect the code to light up?

I'd go ahead and have it done anyway or do it yourself. It's easy.

The V6 is harder on transmissions than 4cyl engines so I'm sure the fluid could use a refresher.

I used to do all that routine maintenance but now I'm too old and too lazy.

Change mine very 20K-25K. No reason other than that's what most owners do. Keep in mind that you can only drain and fill about 1/3 each time. Some owners do 3X drain & fill - to get most of it out. That's kind of a waste IMO, but a good idea if you don't know the past service history.
