Did you mean trunk (rear) or hood (front)?

Honda has had issues with the alarm switch at the hood for numerous models. There are
plenty of youtubes on it. Most folks just disconnect the switch. I had 3 nights where
someone's (mine) car alarm was going off in the middle of the night. On the 4th day I
happened to be walking past my car when the alarm went off and a neighbor comes
over and says "that's been happening the past 3 nights." I fixed it by opening and
slamming it closed.

I would guess the trunk could have the same issue.

The price of over-complicating the most basic car functions - opening doors, hoods, and trunks!

I'm glad my ancient(to Gen-Zs) 2010 Accord never presents such chicanery.

Happened in mine bro and it's was a 2004. You can bet your ancient Accord has the chicanery built in.
