I bought a 2023 Accord (gas) in March. A few weeks later the "System Update Available" popped up. I was back in Dallas in May, and got a service appointment for the update. After two hours John Eagle Honda said they didn't know what to do, and would have to contact Honda US. I was back in Dallas in June and they confirmed they could to the update, and I made an appointment. When I went in they said they had scheduled me only for an oil change (at 4,000 miles!), and their service schedule was otherwise full for the day and they probably couldn't do anything anyway. I returned home and weeks later the display started "System Update Unavailable, Contact Dealer". Weeks later I returned and they finally did something to reset all displays. I don't know if the problems are due to Honda or the dealership, but I'm not impressed.

I've had my 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid to the dealer four times for the same issue. It gets "repaired", but days later the TT04 Update fail reappears and will not load. My car has currently been at the dealership this time for three days. They can do the download, but have apparently been unable to determine WHY the TT04 continues to reappear after a few days. I was told they have been working with American Honda to identify a cause and cure. I've had my Accord one year and it has 12k miles but it only recently started the TT04 issue within the last couple of months.

Any progress? I started getting this TT04 message back in April. It doesn't seem to have any real effect on the general operation of the car, which has been flawless, so I'm not too worried about it, but would be nice to get rid of the annoying message every time I start the car.

Actually yes - they were able to fix it the 4th time and I've had no more issues. Lute Riley Honda in Richardson, if you are in the area.
Yikes, FOUR times??? Hope my local Honda dealer (I'm in Massachusetts) will be able to get it right sooner...haven't used them for anything since buying the car, so will keep my fingers crossed.

STATUS UPDATE, 11/11/24

Took my 2024 EX-L into a dealer for its first oil change and tire rotation. Asked them to fix this update issue---all they did was reset the system.

Now I only get the "System Update not available" message only 50% of the time whenever I start up the car. 🤣

Not only that, but the phone app continues not to work---cannot make or receive phone calls, though it's able to send/receive text messages just fine.

I have the feeling that Honda dealers' service departments have never been properly trained/prepped to handle these kinds of software bugs, but remain focused on mechanical repairs. When I came in, the service rep seemed not to notice that I had requested help on this issue even though it was clearly printed out in the job order that I had pre-filled out online. He had been quite friendly until I reminded him of this request but his face fell and he became very laconic, and suggested that the car might not be ready until 5pm (I'd brought it in for an 10am appointment) due to the software issue!

I was relieved to get it back within 2 hours but it's clear to me that they just cut corners and half-assed the software issue to get me out the door. My first guess was that the possible 7 hour wait time was a result of the dealer milking the manufacturer for more labor hours since all of this was covered under warranty, but now I'm guessing they just don't have the technical chops to deal with it, full stop.

Think I'll have to try my luck at a different Honda dealership next...what a PITA.
