So I been using a USB stick to play music, the first week was fine and now I have an issue where it keeps saying loading and then gets disconnected and does that a lot. Sometimes it plays and within 10-15 seconds happens again. Does anyone else have this issue? How can I resolve it? I'm scared maybe the USB port might be damaged because it seems a little loose, I might be over-exaggerating.

Unfortunately it may be a problem with the way USB sticks, cables etc. are designed and manufactured. My USB stick and iPod cable fit perfectly into every USB I have EXCEPT the one in the Accord. It is a loose fit for the one in the cubby. BUT it fits fine everywhere else.

Remember the lowest bidder , supplier goes into cars. It looks like this one in my car and possibly yours is just poorly made. Maybe not Honda's fault directly but can be a nuisance.

Hmm okay so do you think an extension USB port will solve this issue?

Try a different stick. They're a dime a dozen.

It might help.

What I meant by how the USB's are designed is that good quality connectors meet the specification required of manufacturers that they need to meet. Now if you get a cheap knockoff, read as made in china, the dimensions are not met and therefore will not connector properly.

I work in the connector industry at the company that helped design such things as USB, HDMI designs and specifications and we find counterfeit and cheap knockoffs ALL THE TIME.

I don't really use it so i don't have a first hand experience if the extension will work. You can try to "adjust" the extension cable connector to determine if it will fit more solidly. Usually the bad dimension is the shield dimension.

Sounds like you have a bad usb port. Try a other stick if it still has issues then time to make good on that warranty. ;-)

Once you have a working USB port, it may be worth using a USB adapter to save wear and tear on the Accord port. Especially if you are plugging it in and out frequently. I have 1 or 2 USB ports on my PC that no longer work since they're used a lot. Simpler and cheaper to replace one of these:
