I have a 2013 EX-L V6 with only 73,000 miles on it. Bought it in 2016 as a CPO with 41,000 miles. Since the pandemic my annual mileage has fallen from about 8000 to 5000 per year (I have a BMW Z4 that I drive in the summer months.) Features I don't have that I would like would be dynamic (radar) cruise control and Apple Car Play. I love the power of the V6 but based on some recent rental car experiences with an Altima and a Camry, I think I could live with the 1.5T. I have been looking at (but not driven yet) the 10th gen in 1.5T or hybrid form, probably EX-L. There are no new hybrid 2023s at my local dealer yet. I plan to drive a 2019 EX-L hybrid this week. Reviews on the 2023 have been somewhat mixed and I am disappointed that SiriusXM is no longer available and HomeLink is a dealer installed option. The lack of a spare is a little concerning also.

Of course, the easy decision would be to keep my 2013 given its low mileage and current driving habits. I welcome opinions from the group!

I own a 2018 Accord Sport with the 2.0/10AT.

I am a little biased but I think that coming from that V6 you may be able to "live" with the 1.5, but why would you choose to? The 2.0/10AT is a tremendous powertrain and has been very reliable. I have 90K on mine and I have done rear brakes and RF bearing. That is all aside from scheduled maintenance.

With the used car market finally coming back to reality I would patiently look for the right 2.0 used.

BTW, Honda has dropped satellite radio? Huh?

I would keep what you have. V6 Accords are getting more and more desired as they cut performance options from newer Accords. You might be able to live with the 1.5T, but I doubt you would enjoy it.

I lived with the 2.4L, but I didn't enjoy it. I enjoy the 3.5L.

Both are great choices. It depends on what your priority is.

Assuming the styling of both doesn't make a difference to you:

Both have the ACC and both have Apple CarPlay.

Neither is going to rock your world in performance considering that you have a 9G AV6.

1) If MPG, infotainment, sound system (Bose availability), and tech is your thing/more important to you, I would go with the 11G HAH Touring.

2) If you like a car with similar performance as your 9G, less bland styling (although it is subjective), and slightly better fuel economy (vs. AV6), I'd go with the 2.0t 10AT.

Also, even if not new, you can easily find a 4th or 5th year example of the 10G. Expect at least a few more bugs to be worked out over the years on 11G.

I just traded my 2017 EX-L V6 for a 2022 Sport 2.0T. I got one of the last new ones around. I drove a 1.5T and hated it. It was drastically different from the V6. I’m overall satisfied with the 2.0T, although I miss features like leather seats. The 2023 without satellite radio is a dealbreaker. I’d also consider a Camry if I were you.

The 2023 Accord has only been out for about a month. There's no way that I would consider the 2023 at this point- it's just too new. Let other people deal with the growing pains of a new generation before purchasing. Keep your 2013 for a while longer or go with a used 9th Generation that's been taken care of. If you really prefer the 2023, wait a few months for them to work out the kinks with the new model before buying one.

It's also a really bad time to buy a car. Interest rates are high (if you are financing), prices are still high in most places, and the odds of any Honda dealer providing any decent discount off a 2023 is pretty minimal right now. If interest rates stay high, odds are demand will fall a bit and you might be in a better position regarding pricing in a few months. Honda really isn't offering any decent incentives right now on 2023 models either- as they don't seem to be having much of a problem selling Accords right now.

The 2018-2022 2.0t Accord is a very good option. The hybrid isn't my preference- but many others like it. I'd be more inclined to go for a well-kept 2.0t Accord Sport, 2.0t EXL (2018-2020 only), or a 2.0t Touring myself... although you might need to be prepared to replace the rear brakes- as they can be very loud from the factory when cold (in reverse) for certain years- I think 2021 and 2022 especially. It's just the design of the brake pads- and the only solution seems to be to replace the OEM pads with aftermarket ones. There's a thread or two about the problem.

Good luck- I'd just stick with your 2013 if it's not really giving you any issues.

The Camry is being considered. I had a 2005 SE-V6 for 11 years and 93,000 miles before the Accord and it was fine. SiriusXM is one of those things you didn't know you needed until you had it. My Accord has a hard disk with 2000+ songs and I would miss that too.

Right. I would wait at least 6 months before I'd buy a 2023. My better half has a Rav4 hybrid and she really wants me to get a hybrid also. Not sure I want to fight that battle! :) Staying with the 2013 is the easy choice.

IMO just because you can upgrade to something new doesn't mean you should. Grass isn't always greener on the other side.

I prefer the 10th. Gen Accord compared to the new one. If you are coming out of a V6 Accord the 1.5 would feel weak, the hybrid would feel similar in power and the 2.0 would be much faster compared to your V6 Accord. I would go for the 2.0, then the hybrid Accord and skip the anemic 1.5, the engine is too small for a large sedan.

Right now dealers in my area are listing pretty nice discounts on SOME Camry trims. There aren't any deals for hybrid Camrys- but the V6 Camrys are being discounted by a decent amount. My local dealer has three V6 XSEs that have MSRPs of $40-41k listed for $2000-$3000 off. If I didn't already have a Highlander with that excellent 3.5L V6... I'd buy one of those Camry V6s in a heartbeat... well... maybe not that quick. Interest rates are too high right now if you need to finance.

I actually was looking for a V6 XSE when I opted for the Highlander. I know that I wanted the V6 before it was phased out. The only vehicles with that V6 they had available at the time were a single Avalon Limited or two Highlanders. I liked the Avalon but it sat too low to the ground. They had a Camry V6 XSE that they let me test drive (it was already spoken for) and I loved it- but the dealer told me that it would be several months before I could get one. As a result, I opted for the Highlander- which isn't nearly as fun to drive as my 2021 Accord- but in terms of quality- it's much better.

I had my Highlander in for its free Toyotacare oil change about a week ago- and I was darn tempted to swap it for one of the discounted Camry XSE V6s that they had on the lot. I've grown to like the Highlander though.

My better half has a 2016 Rav4 hybrid which she loves. It gets great mileage around town but not as good as my V6 Accord on the highway. She really wants me to get a hybrid. I've been tempted to get a used 2.0T and tell her it's only 4 cylinders so it will get much better mileage than my V6. I couldn't make that argument with a V6 Camry! I rented an Avalon last year and that V6 is really nice.

Where are you located? price/pics of the 2013?
South Bend, Indiana. KBB says $12,500 for very good condition with $13,300 at the upper end of the very good range. I think mine is at the upper end. No dings/scrape/scratches. Interior is fine. I have not visited a dealer yet to get an offer. The local Lexus dealer has a 2019 EX-L hybrid with only 21,000 miles. Planning to test drive that in the next week or so.
