Well, as some of you know I bought the V-LEDs DRL Module and when trying to use them, they blew both of my fuses. I tried an alternative way of trying to still use them, and it was through the Harness + Resistor they offer on their website.

These are the items:

LED Bulbs I bought -

*Well, here are some pictures of my LEDs without the module.

*Pictures of the Module and the Harness.

*I ran into some problems with using the harness, as you can see in the first picture, the DRL Module(on the right) has two lined indents, and the Harness(on the left) has one lined indents.

*And the Bulb has two lined indents. I know it is a stock halogen bulb, but the LED bulb is the same way.

Final : I'm debating whether or not to shave off parts of the plastic on the harness to make it fit the bulb or not...

If anyone else has any ideas, toss them out. Anything would be helpful in this case ;D

Sorry if the pictures are too big >.>

That's surprising. So many other owners have installed HID's, but not blown fuses. I'd just shave and shove it in. Just make sure your power/grounds are matching.

Although, I'd have to say, that's a heck of a lot of trouble to get rid of your highbeams...

Boo. I was excited when I saw your thread too. Shave 'em and try it out. If not then I guess we're shit outta luck.

Yeah, I'm tempted to shave them, but if they do work, I'd still have to order another set. Apparently I thought it was one Harness + Resistor per pair.

Any ideas on how to shave them in a neat fashion?

Yeah, it seems I put too much effort into these DRLs, and trying to make them brighter/removing DRL error code. I was actually thinking of ordering those Nokya's after you said something...

I really like the way the LEDs display its lights on the DRL/Highbeam reflectors. I don't like the orange glow from OEM and I'm certainly not going to switch to Nokya's. I was thinking about finding bulbs that shine white instead of yellow... but like I said, I really like the way the LEDs look in the DRLs, and not the OEM halogen (in any color) look...In plain english, I like how the LEDs make the DRLs look like a bunch of stars, opposed to OEM bulbs, which make it just look like a ball of orange.

As for shaving them down, I would get a filer and go to town with it. Or you can cut it to the way you like- very carefully, of course!

I will attempt something like that once I get a email back from V-LEDs with my situation... It just occurred to me that I should email them about it, so I did just now X_X.

UPDATE :

Apparently they sent me the wrong Harness + Resistor, they sent me the ones for 9006. They're going to correct it, and I'm asking them to send me two 9005s since I only ordered one before >.>

Also, it seems the Module worked for another member, I'm not sure why it does for him and not I yet.
