was just checking the atf in my 08 lxs, and noticed i guess what is a blow off valve/stem next to(left side) of the tranny dipstick with a black rubber top. which had a little black cakey fluid on the bottom was just wondering what exactly this is. thanks

I believe that is the breather cap. Some residue around the cap is probably normal. Might just be a little grime that's built up over time.

that's a vent tube .
