So I tried this instead of pennzoil platinum and I am getting about 25-30 more miles per gallon. At the halfway point I have about 220-230 miles on a full tank in my 05 6-6 coupe. The only reason changed was because it was on sale for about $23 for 5 quarts at Walmart. I won't go back. Give it a try!

if other oil caused a drop in mileage it would cause other problems

Interesting, I find that hard to believe though. But if there's some sort of proof, then I'd be switching over right now, LOL.

I'm sure the switch from winter to summer blend fuel had nothing to do with it. And driving habits, environment, and the many other factors that go into an actual comparison of the two oils probably aren't worth taking into consideration either.
I do agree that just the brand of oil doesn't make sense. My MPG has dropped lately, but that is due to my commute.

I meant per tank... I always use 5w20 but yea my mileage had increased just putting it out there it might work for you also
