Go ahead and keep using it and see what happens. I already told you about the 60+ page Redline racing fluid experimental run on tl.acurazine.net, and some of those ended up with a slipping transmission + replacements.
What was most disturbing about the posts I read on acurazine, was when the "experimental" fluid started causing slippage, some of them would quickly do three drain-and-fills with Honda fluid, then bring their car to the dealership, claim they were using Honda fluid the entire time, and try to get Honda to good-will a replacement transmission. That was sooooo wrong.:thumbsdow. One guy was doing all kinds of different percentages, then when his transmission started acting up, he was franticly telling all his "followers" to go out and buy more and more expensive fluid, to correct their percentages before their transmissions started doing the same. It was a sad situation, and that's when I stopped paying attention to anything they said.

I rest my case. Look up posts by users named "I Hate Cars" and "Inaccurate". If you want knowledge on this, READ, if you don't and just want to breeze by and do what you'd like to do, then go right ahead and start another experimental fluid thread. Literally I Hate Cars said things after 6 months that was totally opposite of when he first put in the Redline Racing fluid.

Screen names like "I hate cars" and "inaccurate" should have been a clue from the start.

I agree that you don't want to be experimenting with mixing ATFs and friction modifiers. Surely you can screw up a transmission doing so. However, I wouldn't compare that to using Maxlife out of the bottle.

My uncle uses maxlife on his 04 TL and I use redline d4 on my Accord V6 so maxlife should be fine.

So I have a 2009 Honda fit 1.5 engine with the automatic transmission.at 106,000 miles I changed the transmission fluid, bought the car used private sale and didn't know if it had been changed. Honda ATF DW-1 is not full synthetic transmission oil so I used Vavoline Max-Life which is full synthetic and meets DW-1.. The car now has 160,000 and the Tranny still shifts better than it did with the previous fluid and I will be changing it again with the Valvoline.. The car is also on my rental car platform and is constantly rented out so changing the ATF every 50,000-60,000 is the way to go. In my experience and in my opinion the Valvoline Max Life works great and doesn't harm the transmission.
