I think the grinding noise is likely your bad front wheel bearing getting worse.

If your transmission is shifting normally and there is no flashing D light, then your transmission is probably working ok. The extra fluid may have been due to being overfilled when it was serviced. Check the level yourself when its warm and the engine is off. See your owners manual for that procedure.

The idle speed and vibration problems may be related. Has the throttle body ever been cleaned or spark plugs changed? If the MIL (CEL) light is ON, get the trouble codes and post them here.
