Hello,

I still have the winter tires (no rims) from my old G35 sedan...the writing on the tire says: 215/55r17

From what I understand, the tire is thicker, but due to more rubber and it fits on a smaller rim. the total size is about the same.

Can anyone confirm that those tire size should fit on the 2013 Honda ACcord Touring?

Regards,

Sanjay

If you have a Touring then those winter tires should be the exact same size as the tires your car came with. You're good to go.

drop to 16" rims, save a bundle and have more choices for tires.

I run 16" steelies. everyone here does. 17" winters are too $$$

I assume you are in Canada? I realize you only need rims for now but maybe think long term.

ya....Toronto.

hmm..16s...

Our long term goal is to replace the 18 nch rims the car came with, with either 18 or 19 inch black rims (all black)...but we're waiting for winter to start/end before we buy rims we like for spring/summer.

will look into 16...wha tmeasurement would the tire be on 16 inch rims?

I wouldn't put those on. It's almost 6% smaller. You're speedo will be off. But at the end of the day it's your decision. If you're looking to put 16's on i'd go with something like 205/65/16

Those tires will fit, assuming they're mounted to 16" wheels, but they're way smaller than your stock tires. 205/65/16 would be the recommended 16" size. The 55s will be about 1.5" shorter and throw your speedometer/odometer off by almost 7%. Plus they'll look goofy as hell and reduce your ground clearance.

You can downsize to 16's. It's probably preferable if you do if it's your winter setup as downsizing is better in the snow, and also a lot cheaper. Depending on what year Civic it is, you could even probably use the same rim and all you would have to do is to buy tires. Going with a 205/65/16 will work fine.

You can go to Tirerack and confirm the information on what tire sizing will work.

Definitely don't put those on. The speedo and odometer will read higher than actual, and most importantly it will be very easy to lock the tires and skid during hard braking.

16s are way cheaper than 17s for winter and they'll fit since the LX uses 16" rims.

For the OP, our US-spec Accords come with 215/55/17 stock so those winter rims and tires will work. Just don't forget to reprogram the TPMS (see owner's manual).
