So I just installed 8000k HID headlights, but now the foglights look stupid being so dim. I was thinking about getting a colored halogen for the fogs. Probably purple to match the HID but at the same time standing out. Or yellow.. But I am leaning more towards the purple to match my 8k HID a little better with cooler contrast then the yellow which a lot of people are doing. I've been searching links but I wana make sure I get a bright purple halogen, so if anyone can set me up with a link or something that wud be great. Cuz the fogs Im running now supposed were purple, but theyre more like stock halogens IMO. thanks..

Does your area fogged up regularly? If so, I believe yellow is the best one, to cut through the fog. Nokya yellow bulbs should do the trick if you don't wanna go HID

Is that why people install yellow fog lights? Lol I always wondered why people would do that, they're so much uglier than normal white light. Good to know there's a reason for it.

I have the stock fogs on mine and I live in Houston where it's foggy maybe once a year. I like them just because they add so much more visibility to the road. I personally wouldn't ever change the color, I think it looks super tacky. Clear/white is the cleanest looking in my opinion.

If you are plannig to put HID's in your fogs, just poke people in the eye with a stick, it will make them just as uncomfortable and save you $$$$$$

oh shutup. i have HID's in my fogs and it doesnt bother anyone.
How can you possibly know this? Have you asked everyone who has ever been subject to your glaring lights?

You are correct.

They will be painfully glaring and other than making insecure folks who feel the need to use them use them feel somewhat better about themselves and their car they accomplish nothing.

Why anyone would put having to have matching lights and wanting to look cool with blinding fog lights above the safety of themselves and of other road users defies logic. And is pretty selfish too.

"it doesnt bother anyone" is slang for mikeyd914 doesn't think it bothers anyone because it'd be impossible for mikeyd914 to ask everyone he's driven past if the HID fogs bothered them or not.

Agreed. Which was exactly my point.

It's very telling that he's not even open to the suggestion that they may be bothering other drivers. He likes them, he wants them, and he doesn't care about other drivers.
