I've been wanting to do Something to my Accord so why not Plasti Dip. Just finished it today.

2008 EXL, new BeckArnley master brake cylinder, old one was leaking. If you do this job buy a 12mm crows foot to undo the lines.

Well, after considering it for months, I finally decided to pull the trigger and grab one of those Android headunits from Amazon:

I had concerns about quality and fitment, so I ended up going with the exact same one that @6-6 Coupe Boi installed a while back, since he seemed pretty happy with it.

Definitely going to have a fun time with this one. I like that it preserves the entire factory radio setup.

Did you just order it, or do you have it installed? If so, let's see some pics.

I just ordered it. It's supposed to show up in about a week so I'll probably install it then. By then Victus will be up to date with a fresh timing belt and maintenance, so it's really getting the full spa treatment. :ROFLMAO:

its perfect in my opinion with fitment, should slide right in and stay there. I've gotten a lot of compliments about it and it modernizes the car and people always ask if it is stock. Only downside is that it can be kind of bright (at least mine) at night.

It doesn't do adaptive brightness?

08 EXL, new OEM valve gasket. $101 from the dealer! Should have bought on-line. Torqued in 3 stages to 104 inch pound. Aftermarket Fel-pro was leaking. Allowing 24 hours to set.

If you can get an aftermarket valve gasket to seal & not leak you are a better man than me.

Engine at 234k miles

I would think since it's Android at the very least you'd be able to adjust the brightness. Adaptive brightness would be nice to have as well.

Adaptive brightness should be a must on these things. My Galaxy Tab A 10.1 that I use for TunerView does not do adaptive brightness and it sucks that you have to adjust it manually since it forces me to interact with the tablet while driving multiple times during dawn and dusk hours. It's distracting if you don't change the brightness, but also distracting when you have to change it manually.

perfectly said (y), but yeah mine does not have adaptive brightness as far as I know but yes it does have a manually sliding brightness, although wish it could be darker some nights

That was supposed to be today, but apparently the tech at the shop is out all week, so it'll have to be next week.

I did at least talk to him and nail down what's on the docket. I can confirm that at long last, the timing belt will be replaced. Hope you all can rest easier now knowing that. :ROFLMAO:

Outside of that, it's mostly the stuff you'd expect. Oil, ATF, brake fluid, coolant, and just a general inspection. Also a tire rotation/balance. I wonder if that'll fix the very slight highway vibration I've been feeling on occasion.
At last, I dropped it off today. He told me they should have it done either by Friday or the following Monday. I'm hoping it's the former, else the headunit install will have to wait. Until then, Victus is in good hands.

V6 ownership is a privilege that does not come cheap. The grand total is somewhere around $2k for all that work.
Replaced the ABS module on the 2009 Accord LX with a new OEM one from Honda. It was hard to source one but a dealer 30 minutes out of town had one in stock.

@jvan01 , how much is that going to cost? Did you have the VSA, ABS and possibly other alerting lights illuminate?

The ABS module itself ran about $1830. I had a 10% coupon I was lucky enough to print out. Which knocked the price down slightly. My go-to mechanic won't accept any used parts I bring him. Yes, the VSA, ABS and brake lights lit up all at once when the module went out.

Okay, that's more than I thought it would be. I could not have justified that price for my coupe since that is pushing almost 75% of the value of the car.
Your mechanic has a point though. Can't blame him one bit.
Just out of curiosity, how often did you bleed the brake fluids and replaced with new fluid.

And now finished with oil change. I couldn't find my 17mm socket, so I just used a sawzall to get to the oil. You work with what you have.
