Hello all!

I am TK, and I just purchased a 2018 Honda Accord Sport in Still Night Pearl Blue! I previously drove a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in Competition Yellow! It made it to 165k miles (I put 60k miles on in 6 years) before I decided to retire it because of reliability issues. I have some great memories invested in that car, but I am excited to make some new ones in the new whip. Can't wait to make some minor cosmetic modifications.

I have been a member of Monte Carlo Forum for a long time. Uploading pictures to this forum seems a bit cumbersome if they are high quality. I hope to figure that out without having to use Photobucket to embed a picture every single time.... I also hope to get used to the mobile experience for this site (currently sitting on my laptop).

This is my first brand new car, and the first car I have purchased myself! I look forward to getting to know you all and my car a little bit more!

2002 Nissan Maxima SE - Great interior, leather heated seats and steering wheel, power everything, and Bose audio. It was plenty fast too but the 3.5 burnt a lot of oil. The shocks were on their way out and there was rust on the body that was spreading. At that point I switched to a 2007 Accord se sedan.

My accord replaced...

I replaced a 1999 Saturn SL with my 2017 Accord Hybrid. I still have the Saturn, it still runs. It has 287,000 miles and gets 37MPG on average. I replaced it because I got a new job and my commute was going from 30 miles a day to driving to NOVA weekly. I don't feel safe in the Saturn on 95.

I'll only go back for the last five years, otherwise I'd have a new thread. Since 2013:

1993 Dodge Ramcharger
2001 VW Passat GLS 2.8 5M -- smoothest manual I ever drove
1991 Ford F-150 standard cab 5.0 4x4
1990 Ford F-150 extended cab 5.0 4x4
1991 Honda Accord LX
1999 VW Passat GLX 2.8
1990 Ford F-250 standard cab 5.8 4x4
2007 Ford Focus ZX3 SES 5M
2003 Ford Taurus SES 24V
2008 Honda Accord EX Coupe 2.4 5A

Some of these overlap.

2003 Pontiac Grand Am - started falling apart just sound the time I paid it off
2011 Kia Optima SX - Turbo. Awesome car should have kept it
2013 Nissan Frontier - Great in the snow and super reliable but horribly outdated design
2014 Ram 1500 Quad Cab - Good truck but needed more room for a car seat after baby was born
2017 Ram 1500 Crew Cab - Awesome truck but lease was almost up and I have a much longer commute now. Full size truck was no longer practical

Well, these are the last three cars I had before my current '12 Accord:

1998 Honda Accord EX 4-cylinder (sob... still miss this one):

2003 Honda Accord EX-L V6 (sold to my Uncle... and it's still happily rolling along):

2013 Subaru Impreza Limited with the 2.Slow engine (the only car I've ever traded into a dealer in my lifetime... I couldn't get rid of this thing fast enough. SO many problems):

And of course... the current ride: 2012 Honda Accord EX-L V6:
