Really hard to say, but a simple test would be to take the serpentine belt off and run the engine. If it stops then start investing everything in the path of the belt.
Easiest diagnosis first: spray some water on the belt to see if there is a change. Most likely: you need a new drive belt.
When my mechanic replaced the timing belt, he might have installed the old drive belt in a different direction, which caused very loud chirping noise. A new belt solved that.
