I own a 2018 Accord Touring 2.0T. I have almost 900 miles on it currently and have had it since 12/26. I love the car as it is seems like a much more expensive car, drives smooth and quite, has lots of grunt, and to me looks amazing. I put my third tank of gas in the car today. I have been a little disappointed with the range in a tank of gas as the tank seems tiny. Honda rates it at 14.8 gallons but with 30 miles of indicated range I only put in 12.2 gallons. I drove 298 miles on that tank (that was 93 octane by the way for the first time). Gas mileage has been around 25.5mpg to 27mpg. Mostly in town driving, some interstate at 75-80mph, but seldom in stop and go traffic. I surely drove the car a little harder as I finally broke it in. I am sure this differs considerably by engine and transmission but what kind of range are you guys getting? I won't get a chance to do to many road trips in the car as we always take our van, so would love to hear from others.

Got the EX-L 1.5 on December 1st. 2,700 miles on it now using 87 the whole time. Mostly highway and averaging 33.4mpg. A bit over 400 per tank.

That is pretty impressive. I traded in a 2015 Sport with a 6spd and if the stars aligned I could get over 400 in a tank. I rented a 2017 with a CVT this last summer and was shocked how much better the mileage was. It was in Minnesota where it is pretty much perfect conditions (55 speed limit and no traffic and very few stops). It was a rental so I drove it hard but still easily got over 400 miles in a tank.

That's the engineer trying to save you a walk to the gas station.

Here is a look at my 2.0 Sport 6MT. I have almost 1000 miles on it. The most recent 20.7 is for city driving with more heavy throttle now that the break in is over. The previous 2 were mainly 65-75 MPH hwy miles. 87 octane.

That is pretty good. I would be driving very gingerly in my 2015 to get that mileage, and you have a lot move power then I did! Thanks for the input.

My last full tank I was curious and immediately set the car to the "econ" mode and drove a full tank, which for me is a combination of highway miles and suburban driving. I think the total distance was about 360 miles and avg MPG was 33.4. The current tank I'm on I'm intentionally not hitting the "econ" button for comparison, and at about 1/3 through the tank I'm averaging 30mpg so far. FWIW, this is the 1.5T and I don't exactly mash it out of every red light/stop sign, so literally, YMMV.

I have run two tanks through my 2018 1.5T Touring. Ninety percent of the miles were on interstates, flat lands with no hills. I ran 72 mph in Econ mode. The first tank was 38.2 mpg and the second tank was 36.4 mpg. Two 100 mile drives registered over 40 mph. I'm very happy with the fuel mileage.

My car has almost 2,200 miles on it since 11/24. Have the 1.5 Sport CVT. At first I put 87 octance for the first couple fill ups and averaged about 360 till empty. The past couple fill ups I've put 93 Octane and the car registers 380-390 till empty. Average city/highway i've been getting a constant 30 mpg combined. If I leave it in ECON mode and make sure I don't step on it too much I can average a little higher combined.

Not a good idea to drive your car until it runs out of gas. You will shorten the life of your fuel pump.

Not sure anyone here is running till empty. Just seeing how far they can go on a tank. If you can get another 40 miles out of the tank when the range says "0", then that's still probably a gallon or more left. I do that all the time on my car with 60k and no issues.

Doesn't seem like anyone here has taken a long trip yet. I would hope 500 plus easy with the 1.5 all highway with cruise control on. No idea of what the 2.0 will really bring.

I’ve got about 2000kms on my 1.5L Cvt so far. It’s cold and I do mostly city driving... 70/30 mix.. I’ve averaged 8.5L/100kms and stretched 550 kms out of a full tank ( screen still says I have 30kms left in take before fill up) I’m sure I’ll get better mileage once it warms up

I have a 2.0 touring .I was averaging 22 mpg combined 50/50 city/highway in my first few hundred miles
After ~1000 miles I began to see an increase of mpg to 26
I’m currently at 2200 miles and will soon have a tune next week so I’ll let y’all know how that effects mpg.

The other thing is a lot of these cars aren't really broken in yet. Add in terribly cold weather for most around the US and we're not looking at optimal MPG's for the time being. A few thousand miles more and spring temps will do wonders.

That's pretty much the definition of running till empty.
My current vehicle has a 12.4 tank. At "0" miles or a bit further, it usually takes 12.0 gallons. That's not empty and I've never had a problem. Also, I've never run out of gas. Do I run mine till "empty"? No.

Post your MPG & L/100kms!

Noticed a thread like this on a previous car forum I was a member of.

Snap a pic of your Gas mileage screen on your touch screen/TFT screen.

Include this info as well.
- Engine
-city/highway %
-heavy/light foot driver
-eco/regular/sport mode

Just curious to see what other members on here are achieving...

I am in the desert southwest (Phx) and our temps have been extremely mild. I just added gas to my 2nd tank and averaged 30.6 mpg in stop and go traffic. I am only at 600ish miles on the clock. Once the motor gets broke in it should go higher. As far as driving goes just normal commuter traffic and driving in normal mode with the occasional spirited jaunt to get around idiots on the road. Oh... 1.5T Touring.

Here are a couple from Fuelly app, which logs miles/mpg every time I fill up.

-Engine - 2.0T
-Drive pretty easy, soft foot. Eco mode on when on highway.
-On the highway, average 70+, usually 78mph

Log 1:
-15% city driving - 30.2 MPG
Log 2:
-10% city driving - 31.9 MPG
Log 3:
-35% city driving - 30.5 MPG
Log 4:
-5% city driving - 30.3 MPG

Engine-1.5L CVT
City 70%/30% highway
Drive it pretty easy
Put it in sport mode on a couple of times, mostly drive in regular.

The prev. 2 trip was done all in eco mode, last 2 tanks were done with all regular which seems to get better gas mileage. It’ll get better when it’s not -5 to -20 degrees C out lol

Here’s a screenshot of my overall mileage from my previous 16’ Chevy Colorado v6... so already I’m pretty much cutting my fuel costs in half since switching to the Accord [emoji846]
