Hey guys, just picked up a 2000 accord with a 4 cylinder v-tec. Replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, and distributor cap and I still have a miss at idle. When I run on the freeway, the miss seems to go away and the car runs pretty good. Any ideas where its coming from?

Weak coil, bad ignition module, low fuel preasure, bad injector, vacuum leak, low cylinder pressure, valve clearance, oil leaking in spark plug tube. The bottom line is it could be about anything. Pull the spark plugs and see the condition of each plug. While you have them out test compression, a valve clearance adjustment would not hurt. Check the injectors as well, maybe one is intermittently not sending fuel. While the miss is occurring disconnect one spark plug at a time to tell if it makes a change or not. No change, that is the cylinder to look at.
