I love the look of the new Accord coupe. When i first saw pictures of it, i fell in love. Soon after, when it came time to purchase a new vehicle (my Jeep XJ almost killed me) I instinctively went to my Honda dealership. It was a no-brainer, of course I was going to get an Accord!

But then I saw the coupe in person. What. The. F&%k. Could that gap between the hood and the grille be any bigger? I was so disappointed with the gaping hole in the coupe that I went with the sedan.

Is anyone else disappointed in the design? The front end could look so much nicer if they incorporated the grille into the hood as one piece. Not just that though, it seems like the gap is bigger than any other spot where body panel meets body panel.

Has anyone else been turned off the coupe because of the gap or am I just a nit-picking freak?

yup just a freak

Really? I know you have to stick up for your car but... really? That gap is huge!

....it would appear..........

.....that more folks are concerned over VCM issues than "the gap" (as it were).

Had you purchased the 6M coupe with a real transmission - - - - any VCM issues would be (as it were) - - - - moot.

(yawn) off to work.....

best (I need another cup of coffee), ez....

Didn't seem to bother me. I didn't get a sedan because I wanted a 6 speed manual and didn't care for how the VCM worked. I also liked the sportier ride of the coupe as well. I guess the gap between the hood and grille was much less of a issue.

hell yea the front is the best..

aggressive as hell looking.. well off to school

the gap is no different than the side gap, it just looks bigger because of the angle that the bumper and hood meet, the body on mine is super tight.

The Coupe in IMO is a beautiful car. If I didn't have kids I would have brought 1.

i had the same issues but it is not a misalignment issue. If it was then every single accord would not have the same exact gap. I really don't care about it. The car is transportation and for the price range, there is nothing better IMO. I could have gotten an IS250 or a base C class mercedes but those are girl cars IMO. Don't buy a real luxury car if you can't afford the real deal. Like I was saying, in its class, you get the most for your money in terms of styling, performance, reliability, etc. Ofcourse there are things I don't like about the coupe. SUch as how the wheels tuck too far in in the back, or how from a front angle the back of the car just doesn't flow right. But when it is a choice between the sedan or the coupe, it's a no brainer. The coupe gives you more front seat room, more unique styling, handles better, and is faster. Not that I really care but I have gotten many complements on the car most being shocked it was an accord.

Curvacious Beaut

That's one of the prettiest faces I've seen on a V6 6MTCoupe under 30 K. To be fair and objectionable, yes, I did notice it when I looked at this beaut for the first time. But I quickly overlooked it when I saw the rest of the curvacious signature of this striking new and fresh design.

Now, if Acura had offrered a V6 6MT coupe, that would have been another story...

Nit pick freak Mr 1st gear
yes, but to be honest the first thing I noticed when Coupe pics shown up was why did the hood not match the fender lines, that to me looks odd, not so much the gap but where it is.
I am the last one who cares about looks too, I buy mainly how the vehicle performs along with its specs, it wouldn't stop me from buying but something i noticed, i am sure others that have higher priority on looks of cars would be too.

theres a gap? mine doesnt have one.........theres a rubber sealant that is in between :dunno:

I can't believe that is the only reason why you didn't buy the car.

meh i think its just fugly. *puts on flame suit*

7th gen has the same amount of gap, so i dont know what you're talking about.
my bad, i was referring to the actual car not just the grille.
