Tried googling around and couldn't find a solid answer.

I have a 2008 Honda Accord EX 4 Door. Has 180k miles with cylinder misfires. Looking to haul a new motor into it.

I found a salvaged 2011 Honda Accord EX Coupe K24Z3 motor with 20k miles on it.

Can anyone tell me if there were any differences between the two years, 08 vs. 11? I believe the 11-12 improved on the oil consumption, and that's why I'm leaning towards it.

And would it mate right up?

i know for sure that the K24Z3 is in the 8G LX-S & EX/EX-L. K24Z2 is in the 8G LX/LX-P. so theoretically, it should work since its the same engine AFAIK albeit i'm not totally sure

Same motor, will bolt right up.

Out of curiosity did you find out the reason for the misfires?
