This. You'll have plenty of clearance.

It's called a universal bolt pattern

and yes, OP, many choose to plastidip their wheels as it can be removed if you grow tired of it. Do a search for it and you'll see many results. G'luck!

Nice.

Thanks D.A. ! ... I appreciate the input. :)

I have a set of Universals on my car right now. They are excellent.

Plasti-dip is amazing. Saves your wheels in the winter from salty roads. Wish I would have kept it on mine. Paying the price now.

wow ben. thats a great comparison. :)

though, it does make me want to try to get my hands on those 18s

Dual bolt pattern is common. However, 215/45-17 is smaller than the original overall circumference size of 215/50-17. You will have larger wheel gaps and your odometer and speed will be off. The 40 offset is also on the low side. If you aren't planning on lowering your car, then you won't rub the fenders. If you are planning on lowering later then you will/might rub.

thanks for the info.

i will not be lowering. but i would like to keep the wheel/tire as close to the original diameter as possible.

They're pretty rare to find OEM ones in good shape with a good set of tires. I really lucked out by buying my set off of Val. You could always order them brand new off of HubCap Haven for $170/wheel. The only problem is, then you have to buy tires.
