The passenger side windshield wiper keeps smacking down harder than it should during travel, I also believe the driver's side might slightly be pulling to the left a little more than it should, too. My main concern is the passenger side, though.

Sorry I couldn't get a better shot from outside due to it raining and all. Will upload another video once the rain stops.

For anyone who's run into any similar issues what did you check and what was your solution? I've no experience with windshield wipers being a little out of whack. It sounds like it's beating off hahaha Anyway, here's a 1 min video of it in action. This is on my '06 Accord.

Video of windshield wipers here <---

You might want to pull the arms off and replace the bushings. Those tend to wear out sometimes.

That's the bushings. The wiper travel should not change that much, regardless of speed.

Yeah just replace the transmission arms. OEM parts are $20 and it's not hard.

Can they be purchased separately? I'm not seeing anything say "bushings" here: FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPER for 2006 Honda ACCORD SEDAN

Which numbers am I looking for specifically for both sides? I'm guessing it's included in another part. Sorry in advance, I'm a windshield wiper noob. lol

I believe that the parts that commonly go bad are numbers 10 and 11. These include the bushings at each end. But I live in Phoenix, so my wipers haven't worn out yet! :wink

But maybe you should pull the wiper arms and the windshield cowling off of your car to inspect it first. Then you should be able to tell which parts are loose/worn out before ordering.

You know what? I think you're right. I'll have to look into this next week after the 4th. I'll have some more free time then. Thanks for the input.

Stiller Fan,
Are the linkage arms easy to remove individually? On my windshield wiper motor linkage, one bushing was the cause of the mentioned cowl banging. from what i saw on the other bushings, it seemed all encapsulated. it seemed you can't take it off so i pulled an entire windshield wiper motor linkage from a picknpull because i didn't know you can just fix the one bushing. any jedi honda-ism will help greatly.

This video will show you how to get to the motor and linkage. What you need to replace is the rods (with the little white caps on them). Snap the old rod off, and snap the new rod on. I bought the rods from Amazon.
Rod Unit A 76540-SDA-A01
Rod Unit B 76550-SDA-A01
You might want to buy the rods before you take the wipers apart.

Had the same issue. Go the the junk yard and pull out a wiper motor and then assembly attached. It costed my around 40 bucks.

I replaced the rods and bushings and afterwards they still slapped when they hit the bottom. Then I loosened the nuts and re-adjusted the wipers so that they started up higher on the windshield and then re-tighted the nuts. Now I am wondering if the bushing were not the cause but it was because the wipers had slipped on the bolt from their normal position. One of the bushings was busted so I am glad I replaced them. Just wondering though.
