I'm assuming you are in a northern climate. Co to the web site of or call a place like Discount Tire Direct (sponsor here) or Tire Rack and they will walk you through the process of buying tires and wheels. You will want to go with dedicated rims because you will in all likelihood be running smaller, narrower tires. Your summer tires are like steering a toboggan. Narrower winter tires will be like bobsled runners by comparison. Winters have better steering and stopping. Especially given your summer tires, I'd look into it.
