I wish Honda could offer a EX-L V6 Sport; with the red gauges, paddleshifter, 18" wheels and a sport suspension.

Initially I was going to purchase an accord sport but i dislike the CVT transmission and the interior is not leather, ONCE you get into an Accord EX-L everything changes. so I purchase a EX-L V6, and slowly had to upgrade the wheels, lip spoiler...omg it looks so much better than with the stock hideous 17's. Also, the mpg on the V6 is amazing, I am doing 25 mpg city/highway combined "GREAT NUMBERS". The engine roars so powerful!!!!!

What i hate now, is that the V6 suspension seats higher than all accord 4 cylinders, or its just my eyes? I WISH I HAD A V6 SPORT from factory!!!!!!

I think it would sell pretty good, it should also be offered with a MT. But I'm not at all sure Honda management understands their customer base. I suppose they hire some marketing firm who surveys a number of people using a multiple choice questionnaire that doesn't ask the right questions and won't allow for individual opinions. I really don't think they bother to read forums such as this one where they could learn a lot.

Ohhhhh... they understand their customer base. There are a number of users here who think they bought the high performer of the Accords when they purchased the "Sport Trim." It was designed to be a volume seller.

Future model years will come with higher performance, better numbers, etc. Same with all cars. Heck, I predict that the Accord will even have AWD one day and a 300+hp engine with an 8-speed automatic or DCT that everyone keeps harping about.

Umm... have you looked at everyone driving an Accord? This group here is a teeny tiny piece of their customers and even at that probably a quarter of us drive/own manuals.

They know their customer base and its not us.
I was afraid of that. Is Honda going to be just like Toyota now? or are they already?

I was unhappy in '06 or '07 when BMW started making cars without dip sticks and offered only run flat tires. But they are still selling them, not to me though.

I agree the red gauges look better. The white doesn't look bad though. Very BMW-ish. The 18's would make it look much better, but they'd run into problems with majority of buyers NOT being like most of us on here. They'll get more sales by doing cushiony 17's with a lot sidewall vs. 18's/19's. People that want to change them will do it anyways.

I agree though, from the factory that'd be nice. At least make it an option without a huge markup. I think the decklid spoiler is a MUST of these cars. Looks horrible without it. I need to go take a drive for a few days in a v6 at my dealership to see what the fuel economy is like. I drive 50ish miles a day right now and it's about 50 hwy/50 city, but part of that highway travel every single day and both ways is standstill, traffic jam crap. I average 24-25 over the last 10 or so tanks so if I can get that, close to it or even better...beat it, that'd be great.

Any news on the MMC yet? I haven't really been on here much lately. In my opinion, the EX-L v6 w/ decklid spoiler, sport wheels or hfp's (or nice aftermarkets) and the coupe interior door panels is a killer setup. Especially for the money.

:lmao:Wishful thinking. Honda hires companies who conduct opinion reasearch of current Honda owners and potential owners. The last one I attended a couple of years ago was for current owners and lasted an hour and a half. They asked us lots of questions about what we liked and disliked about our cars. BTW they paid us $150 for our time.

Anyone who thinks Honda monitors forums like this one must be smoking funny cigarettes. Honda knows exactly what they are doing and a 'Sport V6' is not one of them. However, all the things the performance gurus here want in an Accord are available in the Acura line if they are willing to spend more money. I think that the V6 will disappear completely in the next generation from the Accord leaving the I4 with a choice of either a manual or a CVT transmission. The Accord line will look similar to the Civic line. Honda will bring the Civic R engine to North America which is turbocharged. All Honda V6s will be sold under the Acura Brand and will be mated to a DCT transmission. To get these features bring more money. :naughty.

So you come and doom say more on the end of V6 but based on honda's recent venture into production turbo engines had them crawling back to the J35.
As the J35 is more fuel efficient, more powerful than every i4 2.0l turbo on the market.

With increasing cafe restrictions on the horizon a turbo with more carbon emissions than the J35 is not the answer.

Having people like you participate in a manufacturer's focus group is a depressing thought, as you have more than a slight tendency to think you personally know what should be offered in the product line. You express your opinions as if they are somehow the most accurate forecast of what future Honda vehicles will be offered.

I get the impression that your contributions can be summed up as:

The I4 CVT is all Honda buyers need and nothing else should be offered. Let the performance buyers go elsewhere.

I truly hope that Honda does not think like you do.

hahahahahahaha i went asking for EX-L w/ Navi Sport MT lol salesman said oh you want an Acura lol
I think Acura should stay away from Honda, and start competing with Lexus and BMW. I went to purchase the new TLX but i was disappointing with the hidden exhaust pipes, the car needs like a magic touch....still premature.

lol 2 people would buy a manual ex-l v6 sedan.
It does not have to be Manual, nowadays 6-8 speed tiptronic is the way to go. Dual clutch transmissions and stuff. The new Camry has the XSE sport with the V6 engine, and the new Sonata 2.0L turbo sport. I think Honda keeps going conservative until people complain then Honda makes changes, like the 2012 civic dilemma.

There is a V6 Sport model, it is the 6,6 Coupe.

I have not participated in a focus group in a long time and I would be flattered to think that Honda would single out my opinion and then act on it. I'm entitled to my opinion and you are entitled to yours.

My opinion is that Honda will and has put the performance cars into the Acura line and not the Honda line. If you want a car with a DCT and the latest bells and whistles such as four wheel steering then you should be looking at an Acura. I think Honda considers the Acura line for performance buyers and the Honda line for family grocery haulers. Of course you can put the family and groceries into an Acura. Except for the NSX.

The irritating thing is that your "opinions" are so narrowly focused and entirely negative when there is any mention of performance as a desirable feature. Having an Accord should NOT mean that enthusiasts have to give up all desire for enhanced performance.

You say move up to an Acura if you want performance. Now, that is a stupid statement, as Acura no longer offers a manual transmission, for instance, nor are the Acura models the dream cars for enthusiasts by any measure in today's market. And please don't bring up the NSX, which is beyond the reach of us mere mortals.

One of these days you may come to realize that owning an Accord and having performance beyond the grocery-getter-only cars you prefer need not be mutually exclusive.

And I don't have any problem with anyone expressing an opinion. But it does get very tiresome when you weigh in on threads where members discuss their performance-related desires and preferences with your what-are-you-smoking-the-Accord-is-just-a-family-car BS.
