I am having the same basic problem as described in this thread. Purchased Certified Used 2013 Accord 11 months ago. Recently having light come on for "Keyless entry system" (Key with an exclamation point). Then sometimes "No Cranking" when brake pedal and start button pressed. At 3rd or 4th try it would start.

Took it to dealer, and mentioned the TSB 13-101 and the Relay Box. They said it could be several different things, let them look at it. They ended up replacing the starter. Not under warranty, but after a phone call, Honda paid 50%.

Now it starts every time on the first try, but the "Keyless entry system" light still comes on intermittently. Drives my wife nuts as she thinks she will get stranded somewhere. I bought a Bluetooth code reader, but car does not show any codes...even when the light is on.

What should I do next? Dealer previously quoted the relay box as $350 installed. I think it is $160 on-line, but without any codes showing, I don't seem to be matching the problem in the TSB. If I replace it myself, doesn't it need to be programmed to accept the new relay box? I don't know how to program it.

Sorry to bump an older thread but I have had the same intermittent "smart entry" light popping on and off periodically too. It's 2017 now and I am just over the mileage for warranty. Has anyone gotten a quote for this repair (changing out sub relay box) from Honda, attempted the repair themselves? Cost and source for the relay box? What's the consequence of just ignoring it (ostrich approach)?
$800 at my dealership.

I observe the same problem. The smart Entry system indicator comes up for a few minutes while I am driving. I could not determine what causes that. The behavior seems random. Has anybody brought his/her car to a dealer? Was the problem resolved? UPD: Crosstour owners reported the same problem: Smart Entry Indicator Light The problem was fixed by replacing the relay box.
Dealer replaced trhe relay box. Part was around $400, Labor $200. Diagnosis $200. Don't go to the dealer if you other options.
