When using the driver heated seat on max it will get hot for a few minutes then after it starts to only be warm and then bout 20 minutes later the light will go from 3 to 2. I was wondering if this is normal or not?

Yeah that's normal for this car and many others. Cars that use a toggle switch seem to keep the settings on until you change them. My 330ci, and E500 had heated seats that acted just like this Accord. My wife's RDX has a toggle switch so they just stay on the same setting I believe (it only has a high or low).

From the owner's manual:
After a certain period of time, the strength setting for the front seat heaters will automatically be reduced by one level at a time until the front seat heaters shuts off. The elapsed time varies according to the interior environment.

Would make sense for a lot of reasons including the infirmed or disabled riding in the car and lacking the ability to control the function not to mention leaving the heat at max could be a fire hazard if it was forgotten.

Plus I don't have to wait until I feel the burning sensation in my back before I remember to turn off the seat heater. I like the feature a lot.
