I've been looking for the transmission lines on my 2015 Honda Accord EX-L, which I bought last month, all over the internet. It appears to have a fluid warmer on top, as pictured. One hose was found near the lower radiator hose in the front. Because both inlets are connected to the same line, I'd like to install a fluid cooler if that's the fluid hose. Is this anything that could work?

if you follow the lower trans hose it ends at the trans filter under the battery tray.

The 2013 model year does so the 2015 should be similar.

Since you didn't identify the engine directly I will presume the tags for j35y1 are correct and we're talking about the V6.

As far as would cutting into that line work for installing an auxiliary cooler ? I don't know.

Any reason for doing this added cooler? Towing a lot? Measured Trans temps too high?

I tend to do spirited driving from time to time, so installing an auxiliary cooler would work for me. I'll look into what you said. Thanks.
Seems un-necessary. Have you recently been diagnosed with tinkeritis?

Sorry, but I gotta bring this back up. I have had unsteady acceleration under mid throttle and I'll most likely be changing the fluid and filter. What would the flow of direction be for the filter? Images would be preferable.

I've found the filter and see that the flange is downward. Does that mean the flow direction is downward of upwards? I don't wanna end up placing the new on in the wrong direction.

Install it in the same fashion how the old one was. I got mine shipped the other day, so I have to get home to see it, however from the pictures I've seen online is that the seam is not in the middle of the body and is used during mounting point, which makes me believe it is designed to properly fit only in one way.

From where did you buy the filter from ?

Here is the one I got from online parts dealer, to my surprise there is no useful markings on it. The inside of the tubes on both ends have small amount of debris of what looks like maybe remnant of coating chemical baths and anchoring points for drying.

I wonder if anyone has pictures of one bought from dealer over the counter.

There are pictures in that thread. If you'd look closely on Honda parts website in diagram it shows it's proper orientation. Like I said earlier this can be installed properly only in one way based on that seam and it's mounting point in the bracket.

Oh, now I saw it. I feel stupid. 😅I don't know how I missed that. I've been wanting to do a transmission cooler installation with a fluid and filter change. I'll be sure to show how it goes in a new thread.
