My 2014 hybrid, with 245k miles, is doing something weird. Occasionally, after you turn the ignition off and the high voltage battery is disconnected, disabling the DC-DC converter, the car loses all electrical power for a second. I first noticed this because the steering lock wouldn't engage sometimes, but power would come back fast enough that the dome light would come on when opening the door. Yesterday, there was no power for several seconds, long enough that when it came back, the clock and MPG data were reset.

I haven't checked the 12V battery, which I will do soon. But I would think that if this was a battery issue, the car would die after sitting, which has not happened.

Anybody else seen a similar issue before I start tearing through wiring diagrams?

Update in case anyone finds this with the same issue: The positive battery terminal was loose. I tightened it and hopefully this won't happen again.
Can you imagine what I felt when this happened to me when I was driving my car to my work? It lost power and rolled by inertia. I managed to pull over to the side. There were no cars at that time on high way.
