I thought it would too. I compared Lunar Silver to a modern steel last week on a local lot. I thought the MSM looked much better with the chrome grill and went with that one. I personally think the distaste for the new grill and EX wheels will go away with time. They both look better in person IMO.

Lunar silver is much nicer than that Alabaster Silver - the paint has more depth to it. The grill is starting to grow on me now. However the optional sport grille looks much better.

Thanks for posting. Hadn't seen any live pictures of the Lunar Silver.

I find that the grille on the sedan is more palpable than the one on the coupe. I feel the one on the coupe sticks out too much where as the crazy amount of chrome on the sedan grille can at least be wrapped or plasti dipped.

Sucks for me as I was looking to upgrade from my '13 V6 coupe.

I'm really liking the Lunar Silver. I went out looked at some 2016s this past weekend and the Lunar Silver would be my color of choice. I've always loved silver and have had 2 silver cars in the past. I went with *** on my coupe because I also like white and really love the two tone ivory/Black interior. If I end up in a sedan, it will most likely be LSM. It seems to have a hint of gray in it, maybe a little slate-ish look. I agree that it looks nicer than ASM.

Nice, I like Lunar Silver now that I've seen pictures of it. Still need to see it in person, though.

It's funny, I had a Satin Silver 6th gen and I liked the color quite a bit (obviously, or I wouldn't have picked it). I looked at an Alabaster 9th gen the day I bought my sedan, and it just didn't grab me like Satin Silver did. It seemed to have an odd, almost bronze-ish hue to it in direct sunlight. The sun just made it look dirty for some reason even though the car was spotless. In direct sunlight, my Satin Silver 6G would sparkle and reflect whatever color the sun happened to be depending on the time of day. SS just seemed brighter than AS in person, though in pictures they look almost identical. Hmmm.

OP, TY for the picts!!

SOLD....that's the color!! Lease is up in a few months, going for a Sport in Lunar Silver!! Still want to see it in person. I like the Pearls on the Accord, but this color looks nice.
Will look great with the 19" wheels...:smile

I agree to a point but you are also seeing a brand new car with fresh paint that is waxed and polished next to a car with some "character". I'm sure you realize that but just wanted to reiterate.
I can guarantee that the new car is neither polished nor waxed. No dealer I know ever does anything more than maybe wash the new stock of cars once before they are purchased. You are seeing the natural paint finish. It will look so much better properly detailed.

The 8th Gen in that picture is my car and it had just been washed and spray waxed. The 2016 was just washed and no polish or wax was applied; we don't put anything wax or sealant wise on our new cars unless the customer requests it.

I like Lunar Silver quite a bit and in fact the technology upgrades alone in the 2016 Accord will most likely have me holding off on buying a newer Accord until the 16's come down in price significantly.

Thanks for posting, I’ve been on the lookout and the closest I’ve seen in person was a Lunar Silver Pilot. This will be my next color. I’m on my second ASM Accord, but after almost ten years I’ll welcome a new color. I see we’re still stuck with the outrageously tall moonroof visor!

I stand corrected. :)
