Here at DA, we don't really go over manual swaps. If you're really interested in more information regarding this, go over to 6th Gen Accord as there are far more users there that have done these sorts of swaps.

True. we're all lazy here.

Or recognize the fact that these are old cheap hondas... Hum
Watch it! heh

If it's the difference of replacing a failed auto with another time bomb vs something bombproof and better performing for less money.. it's time well spent. Truth be told I wouldn't do it to a 20yo car but 9 years ago it made sense.

9 years ago I wanted to do a J32A4 swap with 6spd MT to my 6GA.

These days, I just want to make sure it's still running good so I can get to and from work.

It's got all sorts of little issues that I am not prioritizing money for so I just deal with the issues. Issues like my blown speakers where my only working speaker is my passenger front......and even that works intermittently

. Issues like my LED bulbs I swapped in all blink because they're apparently cheap. Issues like my decreased MPGs (330mi/tank vs 370/mi tank a year+ ago). Issues like all the misc hoses everywhere throughout the engine bay that are cracked and need replacing. Issues like the slow engine oil leak coming from behind the oil filter adapter housing. Issues like the driver side window not wanting to go up or down because it's binding on something (not the window regulator, something else).

As long as I can get to and from work, I don't really care. Sure, all these little things annoy me, but I don't care enough to prioritize them in my life to get them fixed. I have better things to spend my money on.

2018 for me, has been the year of lots of TLC. 2019, I'm feeling, will be the year of the AT (would be 3rd replacement if true).

Just throwing a little sarcasm.

But in reality, I do agree that at this point in the 6th gen's life, most of us are trying to keep these things on the road.
Which, in generally, is because we are trying to save $$ instead of going and buying a new car.

Agreed. I've spent $2,200 in all of 2018 for all the repairs and maintenance on my 6GA. If my prediction of a new AT comes true in 2019 for my 6GA, it'll be another $2,200 right there. $4,400 is basically a DP on a new car, but $4,400 spread over a two year time period is easier on the wallet than all at once. Lets not forget you're not spending extra per month on a new car loan AND increased cost of insurance for said new car.

I'll do my best to save up $2,200 by the end of 2019 to have as DP for a new vehicle at the end of 2019 or early 2020. Or at worst, have $2,200 available for a new transmission....
