i tried to search but no avail.
my hood latch cable broke from the front and the only way i can open my hood is by unscrewing the assembly from the frame.(luckily my grill was not installed) the little white plastic part that keeps the cable in the latch broke off and when i pull the hood lever its loose. i have purchased the cable but cant find any diy to replace it for my 7th gen. can someone help me out. thank you

Sorry, no DIY but here's a quick and dirty copy and paste from the manual:

"Hood Opener Cable Replacement
NOTE:
• Put on gloves to protect your hands .
• Take care not to scratch the body and related parts.

1. Remove these items:
• Front bumper, 2-door (see page 20-184)
• Front grille, 4-door (see page 20-197)
• Inner fender (see page 20-211)
• Kick panel, 2-door (see page 20-90), 4-door (see page 20-91)\

2. Remove the bolts (A) then remove the radiator upper brackets (8).

3. Disconnect the hood opener cable (e) from the hood latch (D) (see page 20-221).

4. Move the radiator (E) as necessary. Using a clip remover, detach the clips (F), and remove the grommet (G) from the body, then remove the hood opener cable from the vehicle. Take care not to bend the cable.

5. Install the cable in the reverse order of removal, and check the clips for damage or stress-whitening, and replace
them with new ones."
