2009, 71K Miles, Coupe V6

I've been having this issue for over a month. I saw the battery light turn on one day and noticed that the car was humming loudly, I went to Autozone and the guy told me it was an alternator issue. I went to my mechanic and had him put in a new (refurbished) alternator. A couple days later I noticed that the battery light was flickering on for like 2 seconds and then turn off, it would do it a couple times while driving. Went to autozone again and they said it was a bad battery, so I bought a new one. A couple days later I noticed the light was flickering on and off again. Had my mechanic check it out again and he said it was a bad alternator. I went to autozone and switched it out for another one and I had him put it in again. Of course a couple days later, the battery light is coming on again. I had another mechanic check it out this time and he said that I needed to get a new ELD. He installed the new ELD. It probably fixed the issue for about a week, and today I noticed that the light is coming on again.

I am completely lost and have no clue as to what it might be. My mechanic checked the wires as well and he said they looked fine. Anyone have any suggestions on what the culprit of the problem could be?

The car runs fine and I haven't noticed any symptoms while driving but I know that's only gonna last so long.

Thanks

I would check the basics.

1. Carefully check the battery cables to make sure they are not corroded under the plastic insulation.
2. Verify the battery ground cable is clean and tight on the body connection.
3. Verify the engine to body connection is clean and tight.
4. Make sure both battery cables are clean and tight.
5. If you have ever replaced the battery connections with cheap aftermarket terminals, that is a problem.

Have you have any added anything like an amplifier, aftermarket radio, phone charger, etc.

The device that senses the issue, is the voltage regulator inside the alternator. Making sure that all connections are clean and tight is critical.

Yes a bluetooth system was added to the car by the previous owner. He got it installed in 2019 I believe. I have only owned this car for 4 months now. And this issue has arose within the last month or so.

Using an AutoZone alternator is probably not helping. I'd get a Denso alternator.

^^ I know it can be expensive, but in the long run OEM, Aisin, Denso, are worth every penny.
