Just wondering, has anyone done a retrofit on 8th gen COUPE headlights yet?

I'm planning to get an 8th gen coupe by this weekend and retrofitting is one of my top priority mods. Just wondering if anyone else has done it to get some hints/advice.

btw, I know they already have projectors, but the output isnt as good as I'd like them to be.

Cool! what year are you getting? Are ya keeping the 2006? Am I asking too many questions???

Somebody I saw on a forum used S2000 projectors for the lows... it had two projectors and what are called halos.

I am not interested in doing such a mod myself as I am happy with offroad blues on my Highs and lows.

I may try to black chrome around the projector and low beam surround when I do my chrome black out... Just too much chrome going on.

Cops don't bother me... people do!

im checking out a 2008 accord coupe tomorrow, if all is well i will buy it.

anyways, no news on the 8th gen coupe retrofits? has no one on this forum done it before? if so, i guess i might be the first, lol.

Ask over on HIDPlanet... I'm sure its as easy as simply swapping out the projectors and reusing the mounting points. If not, you will probably need some type of mounting bracket. Not as bad as retrofitting non-PNP projectors into reflector type heads.

Somewhere around the middle pages has when he took his headlights apart. He sent his halogen projectors in to Lightwerkz to get S2k projectors retrofitted in while he did other stuff to his headlights in the mean time.

I was actually looking for that thread two days ago for something else lol And remembered to bookmark it then. Took forever to find ~.~

i got my coupe projectors retrofitted from lightwerkz. had them put in s2k projectors with tsx-r lens

Why don't you wait to find another TL-S?? Back in 2009, I had the same kind of situation as you. If I had another chance to do it again, I would have wait for my TL-S 08' instead of buying my AV6 6MT 09'...

Damn 16k for a 07 TL-S is hella cheap wtf
here is the link on autotrader, the ad is still up. the guy doesnt even state in the ad that its a type s so i had no idea until i saw it in person: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...00&awsp=false&make=ACURA&seller_type=b&num_records=25&cardist=64&standard=false

Offer him $16.2
16k was the max i was willing to pay for a car, cuz after tax title and license it'd be pretty much 18k.

was ABOUT to buy an 8th gen coupe today....

just checked out the car today. drove nearly 4 hours from LA to san diego because of traffic. when i was about 30 min away the guy called me saying he had a family emergency and i was like you gotta be kidding me. he calls me back 10 min later saying he can still meet with me. so later i get to his place and check out the car, but he tells me that 15 min ago the CEL came on. i examined it and indeed it was on, however it was also idling very rough, it was actually idling around 1.5k rpm. also the car would almost stall when placed in drive or reverse. the guy said its probably bad gas he just put in so he'll take it to dealer tomorrow. however i dont plan on buying that car unless he fixes the problem completely and drives it to my house in LA. what a waste of my whole afternoon and gas. i had all the cash ready in hand too.

here is the link to the car, its got hfp side skirts: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

im checking out a pmm 8th gen coupe tomorrow. its the last of my backups, if i dont get it, i will have to wait for another deal to come up

im not gonna post the link to the pmm coupe until i get it b/c i dont want anyone to steal my car again...alrdy had a black 8th gen coupe v6 and an acura tl type-s stolen.

It looks like he doesn't even know his own car. I would keep away from people like that. If he doesn't know the name of his car, then he probably doesn't know how to maintain and take care of it. Ask him about service record, tune-ups etc?

My mom just knows that she drives a Toyota, that's it. She just drives, I have to tell her about oil change, tune-up and things like that lol
