Hey there,
What Easter Eggs have you found hidden within our wonderful Accord? Anyone know any tricks or tips that could be considered a hidden feature? List them below for all to try!

For those of you who aren't familiar with the term "Easter Egg" it's used mostly in the computing industry. Developers will hide hidden items or tricks within their games or programs. A lot of us (OK me lol) will remember the 9 lives cheat in Contra for Nintendo (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, start).

My contribution to the Accord list:
With your windshield wipers on and at a stop, your windshield wipers will activate when you remove your foot from the brake to clear your vision!

Holding the release button on the gear select knob when turning the car off will go straight to accessory mode(keeping your radio on).

The first thing the salesperson made me do when I took delivery of my EX 6MT sedan, was to toss my key fob in the trunk and slam it shut.

The trunk lid bounces right back up and beeps at you. The car won't let you lock your key fob in the trunk.

Nifty.

The new VW Jettas have this too. Def a cool feature.

Once my wife had her keys in her purse (with my key of course) and we toss her purse in my trunk in a hurry to leave with friends. Took me a minute to realize why my trunk wasn't closing!!

Have backup cam on while driving.

Place in R then press and hold, back, disp and power. Then drive off. You'll have to restart the car if you want to go back to regular screen

Press the pedal on the right side of the drivers seat and the car will accelerate. The pedal in the middle will stop the car. Frickin amazing!

Better would be go into the diagnostics menu (hold, in this order, 1-6-Menu-Power), then hit the Back button. Turns on the backup camera at any time. To turn off, just hit the power button to turn off the head unit and turn it back on.

Starting with the 8th-Gen Civics and Accords, Honda moved the moonroof controls to the overhead console, and added auto-open and auto-close to the controls. (This includes full-auto open to "Vent" position.)

Found out that on all of these vehicles, if the roof is open (not in "Vent" position), you can press the button, and the roof will close, then fully open to "Vent!" Nice feature if you get on the freeway, and the wind starts buffeting things around too much!

Hey, it was 30 men/lives. Great game.

The trunk also pops back open when the key is in the car period. Good feature and sometimes annoying. But more good than annoying.

Huh-laaa-ree-usss! :lmao:

If you have the smart key, you can open the windows and sunroof by pressing the unlock button twice while holding onto the button the second time.

You can do that with the regular key too. Also you can turn the key in the driver door to lock and close everything.

I ran out to my car to check this out. Granted it's a tight space, but I see no pedal on the right side of the driver's seat. My car only has pedals in the driver's side foot well. :dunno:

Not really an Easter Egg but how I use the Memory Seat Setting for my V6 Coupe. I do not use a second key FOB for an additional driver, but normally each Key FOB operation will record your seat setting, and when you unlock with that FOB, it will automatically set the seat adjustment to the FOB before you get in.

Since I drive my friends a lot, I set the second driver seating to move the Driver seat fully up to allow quicker and easier accessibility for the rear driver passenger to get out the driver's door. Having owned a 03 EX-L V6 Coupe with an automated driver seat, the passenger behind me would always have to crawl out the passenger's door and I always called it the most dangerous seat in the in 03 because it would take forever to move the driver seat if an emergency did occur and could possibly pin the person behind me.

Another non-functional Easter Egg that I love about this car is that it still has that Accord look, but it also has an additional bit of nostalgia for me. The way I adjusted the Driver's side view mirror, it shows a bit of the the side of my coupe for better orientation purposes, but the side of the 9th gen reminds me of my old 5th Gen Prelude. Maybe it's me, but I love how this car reminds me of it every time. I wonder if previous 5th Gen Prelude owners feel the same way.

It must be a 2014 model he's talking about.
