I want to put A-Spec 18" wheels(either 18X7.5 hyper silver or 18x8 chrome) on my Accord but I'm not sure which tires will best fit. I will eventually drop it but I just plan on changing the wheels for now. I was wondering if Yokohama AVID W4s 245/45R18 would fit these rims and my i4 accord. Any other suggestions are welcome.
I live in Houston, we basically only have one season. (no snow down here)

Not much knowledge, I have been learning online.. have some idea.
I have looked on discount tire.com and found that these would fit:
Plus Two
215/45-18
225/45-18
235/40-18
235/45-18
245/40-18

Would it matter if the offset of the wheels are 45 while my factory wheels are 55?
There are two different sets of A-specs that I'm looking at. One set claims to have lug pattern of 5x115(size 18x8) and offset of 55. While the other set is lug pattern 5x114.3(one for my accord) sizeof 18x8 with a 45 offset.

how about
Continental ExtremeContact DWS
245/40ZR18 93Y BSW

or

245/40-18 Pirelli P6 Four Seasons

has anybody had experience with these?

TL A Spec wheels came in two sizes: 18x8 and the rare 18x8.5. Both have a lug pattern of 5x114.3, same as our Accords. Both will bolt on with absolutely no fitment issues like the other TL wheels from the same generation. Both also have the same offset of +45 and will actually fit a bit flush with your fenders. As for the tires, I've heard good things about the Continentals you posted up. HTH.

After looking at a couple of acura forums, I found out that there are some a-Specs that have a different lug pattern. I'm most likely going to get the continentals and just wait for a good deal on the rims. If anybody has any for sale let me know.

The only ones I can think of that fall into that category are RL wheels. IIRC, those are 5x120.

I bought these on ebay today. 499 plus 160 shipping.

Plan on running Potenza RE760 Sport 235/40R18 for rubber!
I have watching those for a while now, but the seller told me that the pattern is 5x115. That's why I asked about the lug pattern on A-spec. Did you received yours already? is it 114.3?

Here is a different one on ebay that is also 5x115

CRAP! That is something I didn't realize, I hope if they are the wrong bolt pattern they will take them back for a full refund. :headbash::censored::bawling:
You should be able to, aslong as they are not installed.

Hopefully its 114.3. Let me know when you get them, if they are 114.3 I will get them.

Yes, I wasn't sure if the Acura Rl wheels were 5x115 or 5x120. There was probably an upgrade A-spec wheels feature for the RL, hence the pattern on those wheels are different. However they are advertised as 2004-08 TL wheels, 2004-08 TL wheels are 5x114.3 if I'm correct.

My quick investigation is telling me that 5x114.3 is the standard bolt-pattern on all Honda/Acura vehicles.

Except these as seen in the next post:

Acura
2005-2009 3.5 RL
2007-2009 MDX - All Models
2007-2009 RDX - All Models

Here is something I found on eBay Guides.

First of all, just what is meant by "bolt pattern"?

Each wheel has a different bolt pattern, and some wheels even have 2 different bolt patterns which allow it to be mounted on a wider range of vehicles (not that all OEM / factory wheels have only 1 bolt pattern).

Most Bolt Patterns are represented in the following manner:

5x114.3 (or 5x4.5, which is the same as 5x114.3 just measured in inches)

* The "5" indicates the number of holes in the wheel for the bolts to enter and mount the wheel onto the car.
* The "114.3" indicates the diameter of the bolt circle measured in millimeters or inches. 4 and 6 bolt wheels are measured from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. On a 5 bolt pattern, it is a bit trickier to measure without special tools. Imagine a circle running through the centers of each bolt hole. You would measure from the center of one bolt hole to the imaginary circle that lays between the opposite two bolt holes. Please keep in mind that just because a wheel has the same bolt pattern as your car, doesn't mean it will be a perfect fit. There are other factors that should be taken into consideration such as offset, wheel width, tire size and brake clearance. We will be posting more guides on these topics as well.

Below is a useful reference guide that lists years, models and bolt patterns for most Honda and Acura wheels. Use the page search feature to find your particular model, since we've taken the extra care to list almost every single model and sub model for these brands.

We have posted bolt pattern guides for many other brands. Please see our other guides.

And last but not least, if you found this guide useful, please vote for it at the bottom of this page :)

Yes! thats the same ebay acura/honda bolt pattern guideline I found. I even sent him the link and told he was wrong. This is what he had to say:

They will fit and they ARE 5x114.3.

And 5x114.3=/ 5x115. Some/most GM vehicles are 5x115 and wheels studs will break if you try to put GM wheels on 5x114.3 and vice versa.
