Well I did a few things to my car today. I had installed my new headlights. Everything was working fine so my friend and I decided to go a ahead and install new break pads all the way around. Now we did have to take the e brake cable off but we put them back on. This was both our first time changing breaks on my car.

Anyone know how I can reset the lights or maybe what I should check? The break are working well on the car.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Gosh, I never had to remove the E-brake cable... I was able to get the pads out as I would on the fronts.

Did all the work get done simultaneously, with out checking if the new lights effected the car's electronics during operation???

The E-brake has a switch at the lever, so if the lever is fully disengaged the light should be off.

Honda may have a pressure sensor for the E-brake. If so, you may have to check the installation again at the rears. Be sure everything is in order, no binding or misalignment.

Also as a precaution for brake wear check the guide pins while you are at it, they are to be installed properly as they can be switched during re-assembly.

lights were put in first and tested. Every thing was working before that. The other lights only came on after the ebrakes were unhooked. My friend did not even think about it and just unhooked them. I know that next time we will not do that. Looks like I have to have the dealer to clear the code.

I need to order the odb cable so I can check code my self.

It may just clear out after the 3rd engine start... Our dealer explained during our check gas cap light error, that the fault error will reset after 3 engine starts once the fault has been corrected.
