Depends on what you consider acceptable. Probably won't last as long but they should work.

The OEM mounts are expensive because they're the active mounts since this is a VCM engine. Disable VCM if you haven't already to prolong the life of the mounts, especially if you go with aftermarket ones.

In answer to your question about brands on RA, I'd be willing to go with Anchor or Marmon mounts if I were replacing my mounts. My VCM is disabled now and I don't think I'll be needing to replace mounts any time soon, but that's what I'd choose at this point in time if I did.

YMMV of course.

I have disabled my vcm. Wouldn't the brands on rockauto that have the connector be considered active mounts as well. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info on people getting aftermarket mounts and while I like the idea of paying a lot less I wonder if the aftermarket mounts will have considerably increased vibration. I'm debating grabbing a used genuine front a rear that are still in good condition.

Why do you believe Anchor and DEA/Marmon mounts are good? I assumed If I went aftermarket I'd at least have to buck up for Beck/Arnley but those other mounts are even considerably cheaper.

Even though I have an I4, I'll give my input on the Beck/Arnley mounts.

I replaced 3 of my mounts with Beck/Arnley, the transmission mount had one of the mounting holes in the wrong location. It wasn't just one off, RockAuto and I did multiple exchanges, they were all like that. Got OEM instead.

The front engine mount ripped completely within 80k miles of replacement, that may or may not be a result of pushing more than twice the factory HP, but still.

Of course the aftermarket mounts are active too. They just won't be as good as the OEM mounts. Unfortunately as far as I know there aren't any passive conversion options for this generation Accord. Closest would probably be the 6-6 but that's a coupe so I have doubts.

I did the search on RA and looked at a video for one of the mounts. It showed cutaways of a mount and explained how they worked. I got educated as I didn't know what an active mount was. The cutaway mount was supplied by Anchor if I recall and it looked good.
I think the technology that fails with most mounts is the vulcanization of the rubber to the steel used in making the mounts. I doubt Honda has any 'better' method of doing that than some company that's in the business of making mounts as their primary source of income.
I could be wrong, but that's why I'd go that route rather than OEM at this stage of my life.

Ya I'd say twice the HP may have something to do with it lol. Crazy that multiple mounts were messed up. It may just be worth it for me to stay OEM.

Here's a passive conversion option. In 7th gen they used to say manual only, but auto guys (incl. myself) tried them out and also worked so they started listing manual/auto so who knows about 8th.
(OK I'm sorry.. don't hit me)

After replacing my motor mounts, I stuffed the gap between the bracket from engine and the metal "hood" on the front mount. I think it makes it last longer by not being pulled out every/all the time when car is making any tractive force.
Used 3/8" thick conveyor belt but I guess any hard rubber will do?

It's just firm enough to pass as OEM, but with a hint of solid urethane mount feel which I loved. A hint. No it doesn't vibrate or anything like the real solid mount in the front.

Now this 10th gen has motor mounts all relocated I need to give it a good look to do something to get same effect.

BTW, those Innovative mounts will make the car rattle itself to death with A/C on and in gear.
front, rear, side - 100% rattle death below 4MPH.
front, side - 80% death
front - streetable racecar feel (NOT raceable street car)

They are becoming a lot cheaper now. You can also get Beck/Arnley ones for like $60 per active mount.

Is the front and rear engine mount the only two that are active mounts? For those I believe I'm just going to get oem. I know your opinion is to get oem but for the side right engine and two transmission mounts do you think a quality aftermarket should suffice or should I stay oem with them as well?

The side mount being non-active means it should already be much cheaper. I would personally only use OEM mounts, though I'm not the most objective opinion on this since the only time I've had to replace motor mounts was on my Odyssey which has passive mounts.

Yes they are the only active ones.

Cheapest I've seen on the beck/arnley active mounts is 200+. The side engine and transmission mount from beck/arnley I've seen in the 60s.
Weird how it's double on 8th gen over 9th gen.
