The Accord 2.0T MT has it's clutch engagement point right at the top of the clutch travel, which really made it feel more like work and less like play. That's obviously my subjective opinion, and I haven't driven the 2017+ Si to know how it compares.
The Si is the same way. The Accord at least has some feel on the engagement point (still not enough IMO), but in my test drive of the Si there was virtually none. Combined with the late engagement, it was a little tricky.

I was a big bandwagoner for the 10G Si and followed closely from even before it was announced. Really wanted for it to fit my needs. It does check a lot of boxes, but in the end I chose the Accord 2.0T Sport over the Si because it ended up checking more of the right ones. I have a highway commute and drive way more highway miles than backroad blasts. As such, the Accord does give up a bit in absolute handling ability and turn-in response, but honestly it isn't that much during normal driving. And it rides smoother than the Si (though again, shockingly not that much difference when the Si is in Normal mode).

The straight line performance also feels better than the Si to me, because the K20 doesn't die so suddenly higher up in the rev range. It still tapers off, but the L15 in the Si straight up dies above about 5500. The lack of an LSD does hurt the Accord off the line and accelerating through turns. Where the Si will keep its front wheels in line, the Accord will one wheel peel all the way through. I decided that I can live with that and without the adaptive dampers in order to gain more space, interior quality, tech features, and the better engine.

Thread resurrection... I’ve had my 18 Si sedan for about a year now. I’ve recently gotten the itch for an Accord 2.0T/10. I’ve driven the 1.5T/CVT and was thoroughly unimpressed... however, I just can’t get with the CVT after my 17 Sport. My daily commute has recently increase to 100mi/day (500/week) and the miles are divided between the Si and my 05 Civic LX.

the LX averages 35mpg and the Si hovers around 40mpg (I’ve seen as high as 45mpgs)... having said that, fuel economy isn’t a major concern for me.

i have sent an inquiry to my dealer and they replied with $27,6XX for a new 19 Sport 2.0 which I believe i can get very close to $26k.

i really don’t need the additional room of the Accord and these cars arent “performance” cars to me having just sold my Scatpack Charger.

having said that, has anyone moved from an Si to a Sport 2.0T? Opinions and reasons please... I love the Si. Decently quick, handles well, fuel econ is a bonus, adequate room for the kids and I, reliable, love the seats and sunroof. Accord? Love the styling, 2.0 seems a bit quicker, 10spd would make the 100mi commute easier on my back (versus 6spd), tech is attractive and the pricing is attractive.

I went from a 9th gen Si to an Accord 2.0/10spd. Precisely for the same reason in your post - my commute. It was 30 miles each way around the Baltimore beltway and my left leg couldn't take the stop and go anymore.

I miss vtec but that's about it. The spool of the turbo fills that void though. The 2.0 is extremely quick and hustles the Accord fairly well for the vehicle size. The 10 spd is really really good. It takes a little while to break in but the shifts are crisp and the downshifts are very good. It's able to downshift 3 gears at a time (10-7 for example) so you're not waiting around if you push the gas on the highway.

Luckily, I’m not in a position to need to make a decision immediately. I have the luxury of time and that’s a dealers worst enemy.... the Si seems to have held its value better than expected and the 2020’s are beginning to hit the lots now. I’ll have to put a little seat time in a 2.0 soon

Actually, the 10AT can downshift 4 gears, but only from 10th to 6th or 7th to 3rd. Downshifts from 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th can only downshift 2 gears. It can also take combinations of 4- and 2-gear downshifts such as 10-6-4 and 9-7-3. I'm not sure why 4-gear downshifts are limited to 10th and 7th, but they are. It can't shift directly from 9th to 5th without shifting to 7th first, for example.

Thanks for the correction. Couldn't remember if it was 3 or 4 gears at a time. Either way, it's a remarkable transmission.

Switched from a 2018 Si sedan to a 2019 Accord Sport 2.0T/10AT.

The SI w/ a TSP1 tune feels just as fast as the accord, even though it likely still lagged by ~.5sec 0-60. An Si without a tune felt a bit lacking in Oomph (personally). The Si is a more engaging drive. I am 5' 11", 190lbs so I didn't really have an issue fitting in the civic. The accord feels notably larger than the civic is almost all respects. The civic seat bolstering is something I miss.

I switched because a wanted more of a highway cruiser to lower the overall NVH. The engine runs at 3k RPMs cruising at 70mph, that got to me over time. Didn't choose the 6MT this time around almost entirely because my wife refuses to learn how to drive manuals. With the civic she didn't have an option.

im reluctant to tune the Si as im considering the Accord as well as not wanting to risk any potential warranty issues
Then hands down the Accord stock for stock.

The civic was the first vehicle I had ever tuned due to warranty concerns (it was my DD). The stock tune was so conservative that I was willing to roll the dice.

I drove a manual for thirty years (several different cars and brands, including a 2001 CRV) and decided to go for the Accord 2.0T Touring with the 10AT. I love it. I do wish I could magically make a stick shift appear sometimes but mostly I'm quite happy with it. That transmission is as good an automatic as I've ever seen. Great car. You won't be disappointed.

I enjoyed my Accord, but I did miss shifting after a while. I had to scratch that itch again - this time with a Miata.

Congrats! Nice choice on the Lunar Silver Sport. Let us know how you like the 10at. First auto trans in 20 years and love it.

Only drove it about 100mi... the last auto I had was the ZF8spd in my 392 Charger, which was highly impressive. I’ll need to log some break-in miles to step into this though.

thanks!
The ZF 8HP transmission is truly world-class. Whether it's in a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, or a Ram pickup, it's absolutely terrific. The ZF 9HP, on the other hand, well... It's hard for me to believe it comes for the same company. :)
