Hey fellas do we have anything else in common with earlier or even newer Acuras/Hondas that will fit just perfect? Not like bulbs badges floormats, speakers etc....(cheap ccccchit)

What mods that may belong to another make/ model (Acura) or earlier Honda builds will fit nicely into our car with little or no modification? Whether it be for performance or interior/exterior eye-candy

For instance I believe I read somewhere that a TSX rear sway bar will fit with little or no modifications into any newer Accord (sorry if I'm wrong).

.

Tsx rear sway bar works or tl bar is widely documented.

The brembo brake package off the 09 tl-s is small modification for a cheaper BBK.

I've seen this on the 8th gen (o wait that was RL calipers) but the 9th gen front is different. No?
Small modification but its still possible .....i just want coils and my RV6 dp first lol

Are you including aftermarket parts? Or just compatible OEM parts?

I honestly haven't seen a thread showing all the great info on interchangeable parts for the accord 9th generation,pre/post face-lift.
Only info you know 110% for sure;

NOT "I heard....."
or
"your buddy that works at autozone's, uncle's, neighbor's, cousin's, husband's, grandma's, mailman's, brother" type either please.
Lol

let's start a list.

Year,model,trim-accord 9th/9.5th gen

ilx,tl,rl,mdx..any part..
This would help many,
Thanks for your contribution in advanced.
🙏✌

We can do both, its all useful information

I did an OEM horn upgrade to get rid of the "meep meep" (horns were from an Odyssey/Acura model - forget the compatible years). Got the horns from College Hill Honda.

There are parts that carry over yes, but be mindful that the Acura's have slightly different options. As example, the 9g Accord and 1g TLX share a platform, but the TLX offered P-aws as well as SH-awd.
There is a thread on here documenting what rear sway bars will fit 9g Accords. Some of the larger diameter ones rub the sub-frame.
OEM Sway Bar Upgrade (CliffsNotes Version)
I have the 19mm fwd TL on mine and no rubbing issues. If I were to do it again, I'd go with the 20mm.

As I recall, 9th gen can use the RL front calipers, you need to use an adapter kit + 350Z track brembo rotor. There is a youtube video out there explaining it.

How about the intake....J37 Intake Manifold? What year/make/model am I looking for?

Is this the upgrade you bought from College Hills?

Just got my horn on order. Tired of "meep-meep". They have the replacement horns on their website. If using those horns you do NOT need the adapter they also have on their website (used for non-standard replacement horns-not these). The replacement horns are plug and play.

Just ordered the upgraded horns myself, some of the other Honda parts sites have them as discontinued. eBay was more expensive even after adding the $10 shipping fee @ College Hills Honda. No more "meep meep" for me either.

Big Brake upgrade - I have heard it can be done with 2014 Genesis 3.8L - they have Brembos. I saw one guy on YT that had modified to fit 9th gen V6. Can anyone confirm? Rotors used? Any adapters? If you are going to go with Acura TL brakes by Advic-? (not true Brembos), which rotors work? Heard the 350Z Performance rotor was too large. And do those Acura parts have rim clearance issues?

J37 MDX/RDX Magnesium Intake Manifold & Throttle Body - have been on the fence about this upgrade since I heard it will require a special tune, not available in K-Tuner due to increase intake and different size runners. Have seen tons of 8 Gens modified, I know a few folks on 9th Gen that have done it. Like the 3.7L throttle off the MDX, it is much larger than our 3.5. If I cannot tune it....

Anybody know any info on the seat rails?I removed my front passenger seat a few months back while moving to a new house so I fit my 75” tv and left the seat at my grandmas garage.not knowing about the mice issues in there.now my seat is fckd with tears and holes.

Hey there people... new here.... trying ro to big upgrade to my 9th gen. Very hard finding front adjustable control arm/camber arm.... trying to lower my car and do a full suspension upgrade... dont know if maybe aftermarket control arms for a tsx or tl might work. I can only find moog adjustable ball joints or this megan racing control arm but everyone says megan racing is garbage....

Also heard the j32a head fits the j35 block.... and also wondering if hondata wouñd be better than ktuner?? Maybe for the j37 TB and manifold to tune better??

Also anyone know if you get any hp/tq benefits from either the borla/magnaflow/apexi axleback exhaust upgrade... borla sounds so good.

Please and thank you accord fam.

Maybe yall know some threads that answer my questions... been researching for a few months now. Trying to make this a project daily driver... almost fully built NA.... or we throw mad bread to see what a turbo do... its mad money and work but hey seems like a experience.

A catback alone? No real performance gain, but it sounds better.

Bottom line: exhaust mods alone aren't going to provide meaningful power upgrades. Even deleting precats will just make more noise and pollute more. Exhaust combined with other mods can be effective. If you want modest but meaningful power improvements, do at least a catback of your choice, do a GOOD CAI and get a KTuner and put in the 91 octane tune. Hondata probably has a similar canned tune available. If it is a manual, deleted the clutch delay valve and cut the rev hang to 10 or 20 percent for a much more enjoyable drive when driving more aggressively.

On the handling side, get really GOOD tires (Summer only tires if you can afford to have both Summer and Winter sets) and a Progressive 22mm rear sway bar. The HFP suspension package along with the Progressive bar is a pretty impressive combination of darn good handling without having to ride like a truck. Good tires and the correct HFP alignment are key to getting the most out of the system. And the HFP suspension package comes with a warranty no less.
