One OCD thing I have noticed with the sport wheels is that they are not directional. Since they all have the same design, on one side they appear backwards of the other side.

I think just about all the Honda wheels are like that. That's the reason I think non-directional wheels such as a classic 5 spoke star design are best.

Has anyone noticed the wheels going backwards on the driverside?

I was talking to a future salesman the other day when I went to the stealer-ship and he was getting talkie talkie with me like he knew it all so...
I told this young fella I was getting the black alloys because I didn't like the stock wheels and he asked why.
I said haven't you noticed the wheels are all passenger-side sides? There are no left or rights,no driver and passenger side wheels.
He looked at all the vehicles in the lot and agreed...
He was blown away...
I just walked into the building and left him standing there dazed it seems...

Is there a thread about this issue around?:nerd

This is nothing new with hondas.. many of the models have had these directional style wheels that don't have specific sides for years now. They do it so all the wheels are exactly the same to save time in production and such. Also many people don't pay attention to it.

Agreed. My first honda was a 1993 civic EX coupe. It came with the one-sided 14 inch swirl hubcaps. One-sided style has been around for at least 25 years and have evolved into factory 16 to 19 inch aluminum alloy wheels across different honda models.

If you rotate tires in the proper pattern, wheels would get mixed up and then it would be obvious. There can be no left and right directional wheels that are properly maintained unless you always keep the sides separate. But, then they aren't properly maintained...
I'd be fine with non-directional wheels.

Honda being lazy.

9th gen Accord plug-in hybrid had true directional wheels.

Other Honda's/Acura's that had true directional wheels:

1st gen Acura TL
1st and 2nd gen Acura Integra
3rd gen Honda Prelude
2nd gen Honda CRX Si

The 2nd gen Integra wheels even had markings for Left and Right.

^ Agreed.
It's more important(for me anyway) to rotate tires properly than to impress the boyz in the hood with my wheels, yo.

now, if I can lay my hands on some 22" spinners like these, that changes everything, yo!

This is old news and someone posted about it on the 10G here a while ago. Really not that big of a deal.
