Does anyone know the correct battery size for the 4 cyl models? None of the online lookups have the '13 Accords yet. When I search for the 2012 model it says Size 35. I want to confirm.

Why would I do this? 24's aren't inherently more powerful than 35's are they?

Why replace it if the current one is working? Every little OE Honda battery I have had has lasted longer than the larger replacement. CCA without durability is meaningless.

Why throw a perfectly good battery away? In five years or so when the OEM battery dies I will put a much bigger battery in the available space. Until then that little OEM Honda battery gets to keep working.

Its the "bigger is better" mentality.

Its just like when I had an LX and everyone online figured out that the "49" class battery would fit in the tray if you didn't use the screw down bracket. Considering the battey in a Magnum was in the rear hatch it could go airborn in an accident. Pretty smart, huh? Anyway I put 122k and 8.5 years on that factory installed "junk" battery and it was still going strong when I traded it in.

If you are stock and under warranty, there is no need to rip out your battery.

I don't care what you guys do but I will never own a car with today's electronics with meager reserve and 425 cca. I like crisper starts and a reserve that provides a firmer electrical system for the car. The POS Honda lawn tractor batt came out the first day I owned my 8th and 9th gen coupes.

The 2013 accord uses a group 51r on the 4 cyl and a group 24f on the 6 cyl. You can fit a group 35 in there if you get rid of the plastic battery covers.
