Just sold my stock exhaust to my 2015 Accotd Sport..
need another one ASAP..
I noticed only one cat back for my car.. the Takeda..
I would pay for ACT but they only have for the V6 or coupes..
do I need a cat back?? Is factory resonator pipe big enough for decent airflow??
Is the BORLA axle back decent enough?
Experiences and setups please..
links and feedbacks highly appreciated..
car is still new under 3k miles & only have a cold air intake..

I only see 2 catbacks avail for the i4 Accord..
Magnaflow or Takeda?? Which one should I get.. performance wise..

If you want the best performance, you will need to open up the restrictive stock exhaust system. A full catback would be the best option, though I don't know if any companies make a full catback for the Accord Sport.

An axle-back exhaust system will basically be for looks and some sound, but will provide little to no actual power increase.

A custom catback exhaust is an option I'd look into. Generally 2.5" piping (mandrel bent) will be considered the best for non-turbo/supercharged motors, with 3" piping generally being preferred for forced induction setups.

Thanks.. i went with the full catback from Takeda.. i also installed the Japanese bumper or in Cali.. they call the plug in hybrid bumper..
The normal tips were burning my bumper so i had to go custom.. pics when done.

No prob. Please post pics. So the full catback from Takeda worked fine? Or is the burnt bumper the result of it not fitting right?

Couldn't the V6 and I4 Sport share exhaust? My assumption is only based on seeing this one exhaust manufacture (don't remember which) who list the same exhaust for both models.
I don't think they do, but if you could provide a link I'm certainly intrigued.

Does an exhaust provide much of a power or mpg increase? I always thought the I my care with real gains on intake/exhaust are those that require huge airflow like turbo and big cc motors...

That is perfect for us non sports guys, all we would need is the stock left side heat shield and a shop to weld the hangers. I wonder how loud is it, if it's Takeda loud I'll pass. If it's chambered I would buy it.

I had a single muffler version and it was extremely loud. I don't have any doubts that the dual exhaust won't be any quieter.
