im thinking of buying a broadway wide rear view mirror and ive searched the forums and i found nothing on this topic.

so my question is, what size is perfect for the 8th gen's rear view mirror so it doesnt get in the way of the sun visors?

Example:

You can't really avoid the sun visors because the Broadway mirror is much wider than the standard one. I just install mine closer to the driver's side to keep my front passengers from knocking it out of place. At least when it's on my side, I know it's there and I make it a point to avoid hitting it with the visor. :)

i dont get what is the difference between this mirror and others?!?! other than its bigger, but my mirror covers pretty much everything...

I believe it's supposed to eliminate "blind-spots" for people who do not know how to correctly align their sideview mirrors.

Why not purchase those small wide angle mirrors for your side view mirrors & leave your rear view mirrror intact?

The mirror I use is larger and it's convex, so it has a much wider field of view. I actually have mine set so that I can see the passenger-side blind spot through the side window. It also doubles as a "conversation" mirror as it allows me to see everyone in the back seat.

Were you guys getting vibration with this mirror? I installed mine but the vibration when driving was driving me crazy and I took it off the next day.

you probably got a vibration because it was installed loosely?

wtf? seriously!

broadway mirrors have become a JDM thing...
I was considering getting one 'cause
1) Practicality - blind spots are in view
2) You can see everything behind you.

But then I realized I can't put down my sun visors
so I left the store without one.

well, i have a visor tint, so it keeps the sun out of my eyes and i wear sunglasses when the sun is lower, so i couldnt care less if i can or cant move my visors, i just need to know whats the best size mirror :D

im thinking 270mm, yay? nay?

I have a 270mm on my car, and neither visor hits my mirror at all. It's been in the same place.

i have a broadway mirror. it doesnt hold on to the oem mirror. doesnt work if your listening to music with hight volume.

270mm and 300mm is a huge difference. Hold the 270 up at a spot and remember how much you are able to view with it. Then hold u the 300mm and see how much more you could view. Personally, I have one and it doesn't any vibrations and is pretty secured on my oem mirror. I feel that it's 99% aesthetic though. I don't recall broadway mirror saving lives =D
